I have often had that thought of is this real or is this a dream? And every time that thought occurs time and space around me doesn't seem to know what to quite think of it. Just the concept of it can really mess with "reality". I do believe that whatever you put out in the universe, whether it be positive or negative forces, they always have a way of catching up with you when you least expect it. We do have control of these things, awake but dreaming. I think that if more people were aware, living in lucidity, then this world would be a very different place. But there are so many people "blinded" by reality. Hiding from the truths, behind masks, they forget how to truly experience life. To take it all that it has to offer. The spiritual realm is a vast place, there is still so much to learn and discover. I like how it can mean different things to different people. I know I have gone through a spiritual awakening. I think once you have, you can never go back. Good post my friend, always love reading! |
Date: 5/18/2011 4:04:00 AM From Authorid: 30575 Interesting post. This seems quite similar to both Lucid Living and Tibetan dream yoga. I don't know if you're familiar to either. I'm also intrigued by your claim that only one brain hemisphere is active during normal dreaming and both are active during lucid dreaming. Scientists have told me that the dreaming brain is quite similar in activity as the waking brain except the logic center in the brain which is inactive during normal dreaming (REM sleep). Their theory is that during lucid dreaming, this center is active. Do you mind sharing your source? |
Date: 5/18/2011 10:44:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 26733 Hey Line I actually never heard of 'lucid living' or 'Tibetan dream yoga'. I'm really just making up my own words from basic second hand knowledge on the foundation of first hand experience that I feel that suit the situation of the point I am trying to get across. I really have no sources other then basic psychology and my own concepts. I never really had sources except on what I know first hand. I starting writing a reply to your comment and it kinda took off on to something else and I decided to make a thread out of it. |
