Hi Zelana, I have been psychic all my life since a very early age. It wasn't until I got older that I realized I was clairvoyant and all my other clairs were open as well. To manage my abilities as I was growing up I studied under many mediums and psychics, some well known to get them to a point to where I could call upon them at will. Your question regarding if people can feel you reading them. The answer to that is No, not always unless they are psychic themselves. I read people all the time and many of them have no clue what I am doing. The ones who I know have a gift, they know right away what I am doing. In fact the funny thing is when you meet people who are gifted psychically they often will tell you "Hey your psychic like me, and they will just know it off the bat without you telling them anything". The other way to defend yourself from Negative energy is to imagine white light surrounding your aura and body. This will keep you safe from negative people and spirits. You will however need to repeat it throughout the day, because it begins to fade and wear off. As soon as I get up in the morning I never forget my protection.   |

Well, I've mentioned that I can see auras, a lot of it is involuntary though. I've had premonitional dreams, but about something going wrong with a car like the tire shredding, needing a tow, the weirdest was dreaming my car like drove into the ground and that actually happened when my axel broke. ( I've told my fiance of these premonitions and predicted a few incidences 2 weeks in advance) even some earthquakes, but I can never pinpoint WHERE or WHEN. As for people, I listen to my intuition. There have been times where I'm in a store and I'll get a bad feeling from someone passing by and I'll literally drop my stuff on the nearest shelf and get out of there. Anytime I get a feeling I sense something, I tell my fiance so it's sort of "documented." The most severe case I had of a psychic episode I had was about 3 years ago. I was living on my own, my fiance would visit me on his lunch break. Well, I didn't hear from him. I normally would shrug it off that he got busy at work, but i could NOT shake the uneasy feeling I had. I texted him, I called him, and tried to ignore it for about an hour. I was so restless. I even went out for a walk, but finally the feeling got so strong. I left him a voicemail that I was coming to his work cuz I felt something was wrong. So, as I'm in the car, he finally calls me apologizing that he couldn't see me because he had cut his thumb open at work and had to go get stitches. Luckily it was nothing severe, but still. Also, not to mention the paranormal experiences. *shudders* Just, trust yourself and the feelings you have, are my advice. Even if you're wrong most of the time, at least you're exercising your ability. I think you'll feel when it's truly real. It's an undeniable feeling. yes, it can make us more vulnerable or sensitive, but you can also see it as a gift. Maybe burn some sage to keep the air around you clear, pour some salt around your bed to protect you. Know that you are a light and are stronger than any negative energy. Also, pray to be kept safe, that's what I do.  |

Hi sis  thanks so much for reading and commenting! I feel like we are a lot alike and many things you describe happen to me as well. It's strange because when we first started talking I had a feeling you had abilities, I guess it's like what Hangman stated, you can tell when you meet someone "like you." You know, I started seeing auras involuntary when I was about 15 or so. I also can see what I describe as "heat waves" I am not sure what it is but I can see moving energy. I am not sure if I am picking up on some form of energy or if something is there but it just started happened recently. I have also had a lot of dreams, spiritual/religious dreams and many of them telling me things. I also had premonitions about people and unfortunately not all of them were good... for example: I remember on my birthday my Nana (grandma) called me to wish me a happy birthday. I could tell by her voice something was wrong, even though she said nothing about it. I remember it bothering me for the rest of the day, not sure why. I even told one of my cousins about it but I guess they didn't know what I meant by, "I have a weird feeling." She passed away two days later, I was eleven. I have also felt physical symptoms of people who were injured or sick in my family without knowing, for example: one night I kept getting this sharp pain in my chest and I couldn't shake it off, for no apparent reason the pain was there. I found out the next morning my uncle was in the hospital, he checked in that night (the same time I started feeling the pain) for chest pains. I mean the list goes on and on. Although these things happen to me I still have trouble discerning them from myself and I don't have the ability to say with confidence exactly what I think is happening or when or where etc. I think I would need to develop my senses more before I could do that. Oh, and the paranormal stuff... I have seen so many things. I have had dreams about spirits in my house, I've seen numerous apparitions, heard voices, I've felt something go through me twice, and I can sense when something is near me. That feels natural to me more than the other things stated because I have been dealing with paranormal things me entire life. Wow... thanks for listening, lol I wrote a lot. Thank you for sharing all of that and I am glad to know there are others out there that understand what I am feeling.  |

Hi Hangman that's pretty amazing that you had the opportunity to study abilities and such for a long time. And like I said to Mayuka, it is true and you are very right... you know when someone has abilities too. You are a kind soul, so I know you can and will do great things with your energy. Thank you for those answers, that helps clear somethings up. I have told people about these abilities but I don't think they really understand. I think I should try being with people who are more like-minded than not, maybe that will help me and protect me as well. Thank you also for the image of white light, I will remember that. I know I have strong protectors around me but I would also like to protect myself. Oh, and I also get numbers for people... ironic, but I will be able to see an age or number and get an event, it has been accurate twice so far... I try not to tell people anymore because I don't want it to turn into a self fulfilling prophecy. Thanks for your help |

I've read 3 people from on this site and got most of it right. I too have this ability but it was stronger about 9 years ago. But I still get feelings and can pick up things too.  |

Hi PsyGuy, I actually do remember you posting about psychic abilities before. I think I would be too nervous to professionally read people; than again my goal would be just to be more psychically aware, and whatever message I got for others I would hope they would be those of hope or comfort. I also know I am extremely sensitive to paranormal events, as I posted. I think I might be able to draw energy, although not everything I see is comforting, in fact a majority of apparitions I see I don't like for one reason or another. But anyways, sorry to ramble, lol... why do you think your abilities were stronger years ago? Thanks for reading and commenting! Hey, again, sis! Yeah, not to mention the paranormal experiences! Thank you for sharing your stories with us. I don't know that I'd want to develop it. It scares me when my dreams or whatever are so accurate that I asked God to stop me from sensing what I couldn't control and it's calmed down some. Still, I saw an aura on Thurs. ehheh. involuntary, like I said. I was about 16 when I started seeing auras. The psychic things though since i was 9...I got up at 4 in the morning and on my way back to my bed I heard a voice tell me to "run" and I did. The SECOND I lay down, a large earthquake, 6.7, struck. I believe it was my spirit guide.  |

First let me say that I believe all people are given the ability of a "sixth sense" however we are taught that the feelings, senses, sites whatever may be are fictitous is our child's mind and therefore supress them. Second, you have to know and differentiate your primal instincts from true "intuition". For me, as a challenge and testament to my abilities when reading Tarot, I would confront the skeptical and NEVER read with the person present. This removes them saying "you picked up on my body language, mannerisms etc...its up to you on how to handle your abilities. People will tell you anything to discount what you see and/or say. Hold your own and know what you know. We can't prove what isn't only what IS. Good luck and best wishes |

Hi Mayuka sis, wow... you definitely have strong protectors around you. I am glad your safe! I know this post goes back a while but I feel these "abilities" never leave us, we just decide whether or not to enhance or suppress them. I sometimes get nervous about feelings that come to me but I have learned to remember not to let fear control me, instead open a passage for love to flow through me. Hi quervonomad, I agree that in order to stand behind the validity of your "abilities" it is best to not boast and to remove all factors for people to claim otherwise... but I think we should just rely on the fact that we know and we are secure in our abilities and we trust our own intuition. I agree as well, everyone has intuition, but society teaches us to suppress it and to adapt to the 'norm' so when someone has a developed ability, we treat it like a divine gift, but in fact, we all have it within us.
