Date: 3/18/2011 2:06:00 PM From Authorid: 53427 My old computer used to pick up the audio from our phone calls sometimes. I eavesdropped on a few of my husbands calls this way. I didn't hear anything juicy though lol |

LOL...it can be quite unnerving. A long, long time ago, I sort of secluded muself in this little out of the way house which was divided into 3 apartments. I had the downstairs back, and upstairs was a neighbor who was into ham radio. Anyway, long story short, one morning I had listend to my stereo, and out of habit when I was done, I unplugged it, and disconnected the speakers. (I always unplugged TV's, too, when I was done using them) Anyway, I was going to go somewhere so I was putting on my makeup when I heard this real loud voice come from my living room, and it was speaking in 'tongues'. LOL...it scared the Beejesus out of me, so out the door I ran, hair uncombed, one eyebrow applied, and no shoes and got in my blazer and went over to my ex step moms house. She could tell I was visibly shaken. I was telling her what happened, and she burst out laughing and reminded me of the ham radio upstairs from me. Even with my speakers disconnected the wave length still carried the neighbor's voice through my speakers. He was speaking German to someone in Germany. I was so embarassed. LOL |

Date: 3/19/2011 3:00:00 AM From Authorid: 21435 Hiya, Release Me. About the only thing happens to me is when others accidently get on the wrong channel at work. Everything will be all quiet and then suddenly someone is trying to dock a ship and we're like "what?" I didn't know that speakers could pick up other frequencies. I imagine that would be a bit unnerving. Very interesting, lady. Thanks for sharing. Write on...... |

Date: 3/24/2011 3:07:00 PM From Authorid: 62956 You should hear some of the stuff on the shortwave band. Number stations, backward music station, all kinds of stuff that no one knows where it is coming from in some cases. My personal favorite is the Chinese robot which recites numbers in Mandarin Chinese at a rapid pace (she kinda sounds like my ex-gf :P ) for no apparent reason that anyone can think of. Pretty neat stuff... |

Date: 4/23/2012 11:27:00 AM From Authorid: 11097 Very weird, lol! I do have a story, although it's a lot more sinister than this one- when I was about 7/8 years old I heard someone speak to me out of the radio. My mom was giving my brother a bath down the hall and I was in the living room playing with my toys. I heard the radio buzzing, we had a stand with a radio on it, and I walked over and I heard it say to me, "Hello little girl"... and I swear to you this is the truth. I remember it to this day as if it happened yesterday. I didn't know what to do so I ran into the bathroom and told my mom what I heard. The house we lived in at the time was extremely haunted so maybe something was communicating with me... creepy. |
