I love that show and have watched it for several seasons. The one thing I see the judges say over and over is that the contestants should sing something that fits their ages. An 8 year old singing a 50's or 60's song just doesn't work, and neither does a mature person singing a rap song. So go with something that you really feel Blue Butterfly. I think the music just won't feel right if you don't FEEL it first. Do your friends or family have songs that you sing that they particularly love? I would choose from those if I were you. Best of luck to ya !!! I really look up to anyone who can get up in front of judges and perform. You ROCK !!!  |

Look up "Liar, Liar" and "There's Us" by Alexz Johnson/Jude Harrison. It's from a tv show called "Instant Star", and Alexz Johnson's range in the songs featured in each of the songs off that show is amazing. Those two songs are great, as is "Time To Be Your 21". They'll move you, and you'll love them! Otherwise, do "Defying Gravity" from Wicked.  |
