Really sick

Twice in the past month I've come down with some wicked cruddy sickness, and it seems like the same exact thing. I can't keep anything down at all, I've got a fever and I have really bad braxton hicks contractions. The contractions are SO painful though this time. I feel like I'm gonna pass out, and I'm here alone with my daughter. I'm trying to find a friend to call my husband. I'm a little nervous, coz I'm a high risk pregnancy, who (apparent to me now - unwisely) rejected progesterone shots. I'm just really worried, so if someone can pray that this sickness goes away, quickly, I make it through the day till my husband gets home, and that these aren't REAL contractions I would so 100% appreciate it! Thank you.

Date: 12/11/2010 4:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 998    I'm so sorry that you don't have a phone. Not a good place to be in with a baby on the way. You will certainly have my prayers that all goes well, ... not only today, but all the way through delivery. I'm not surprised you rejected progesterone shots .. those really take a toll on the body, and I can't imagine what they do to the baby.
Date: 12/11/2010 5:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 54444    I am sending you all my prayers and empathy for a full and immediate recovery. God bless and keep you.
Date: 12/11/2010 5:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 3835    get better soon... maybe you can afford one of those cheap tracfones? I have one and they work really well. Just have to pay for the minutes before you talk though. Other than that, I can text, have voice mail, call waiting and can make and receive calls, and the phone was (at that time) only 10.00 USD.
Date: 12/11/2010 9:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 31765    Any updates? Are you doing okay? Keeping you and family in my thoughts.
Date: 12/11/2010 10:38:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 64723    Hey! I got back around 8pm, but was so wiped I went straight to bed. I could barely walk upstairs - which isn't all that fun when you live on the third floor. They ended up not being real contractions (YAY!!!!!!). What they were is, basically spasms in my stomach. I've had them about five times since this past April. No idea where they came from or why I've been getting them. I have medication for them, but since they were much higher then they used to be (DUH Manda! Of course they are gonna be! The baby is pushing everything up!) I didn't even think about taking them... and its not a good idea to take them while pregnant anyway. I was seriously dehydrated so I got an IV and it took a couple bags before they let me go home. I was so darn antsy by the time they discharged me and I STILL feel that way. They offered me demerol, but... I've had that once before and seeing cars drive out of the ceiling just isn't my idea of fun. I figured dehydration was playing a big part, and it was, so I was glad when they finally gave me the IV. I'm still having bad pain, but I haven't thrown up in a few hours, so thats a plus.
Phone wise - I have a trac phone, as does my husband, but we've only been able to afford to put minutes on one of the phones right now. I think next time my husband leaves the house for more then an hour I will be telling him he needs to leave that phone with me!
Thank you guys so much for your prayers and thoughts!

Date: 12/12/2010 11:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 31765    **hugs you** Good news I get a condition that puts me in the hospital when I get dehydrated. I've found drinking Gatorade keeps it at bay. Even if it's not your favorite drink it sure beats the hospital Take care of you and family
Date: 12/12/2010 5:14:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 64723     back! I have noticed that every time this happens, except for last month it has put me in the hospital. And you're right! It definitely does beat the hospital. I tried drinking water yesterday, but I couldn't even keep that down. I think with how much pain I was in, and because I let it go, until it was completely unbearable, gatorade wouldn't have worked in that instance, but I think every other time it would have. Thank you so much for that suggestion!
