In a few weeks I'm off on another week long city camp with the school I work for. We did the same camp a couple of years ago, and it was awesome.
Last time, before going, we were given a plan of the motel we were staying at so we could work out rooms etc. I 'bagged' the corner room, with windows that wrapped around the building. When we got there I was so disappointed to discover that the curtains were broken, and wouldn't open. So no fantastic view that I was wanting. There was only one very long window in the bathroom. But it was nice, and provided a nice view for me up on the second floor.
I was watching the traffic, and the people in their apartments around midnight. They didn't have curtains on their windows, so they were clearly visable. Just enjoying the views of the city. I thought I'm glad you can't see me in this window. It was two windows thick, with a diaganol pane too.
The next morning, around 6am and still dark, I was still enjoying the view whilst I dried myself after having my shower. Watching the cars stopped at the traffic lights, again feeling safe in my bathroom.
Well you can see where this is going. I was telling my work colleagues, who said they'd check the window for me. I was worried that they would dupe me. But no, sure enough, my window wasn't one way. Like other motel windows. Nooooooo, you could see right in. LOL. So those morning traffic light people, if they happened to look up would've got an eyeful. lol
One of the male teachers hung a towel over the window to fix the problem. Only thing was, as I pointed out to him, at least now they wouldn't see my face, just the body. lol. We had to hang a sheet over the window.
Yes we put a complaint in, and I'm hoping it's been rectified. How many other staff stood in front of that window over the years, enjoying and providing a view? lol
As embarrassing as it was, it had us laughing and joking for the whole week.
