I pee'd on a stick and it had two lines #1 was kinda funny one night I just out of the blue hollered at hubby that 'I want waffles'....and some of his friends heard me say this. (they were in the apartment next to us and the walls were thin..) And they started wondering/asking then. Other than that I just got really moody (I think?) nothing else major until after I knew. #2 we were trying...and it was right before thanksgiving. Since we do usually have a few drinks with family I just tested to play it safe. No drinking that year! My chest was a bit sore though. #3 the really only thing that made me wonder was that I started needing a nap in the afternoon... |

Date: 8/12/2010 5:47:00 PM From Authorid: 43807 Early signs for me were breast tenderness, food averson, strong smells, morning sickness. |

I knew with both of mine pretty much early on. With My 5 year old, I just 'felt' different. Hard to explain. I didn't have any morning sickness, I just knew something was different. With this pregnancy (I'm due Sept. 9th), I had horrible morning sickness. And I knew, right away that it wasn't a cold or a flu. I had a tender chest, and my sense of smell, like you described, felt amped up. If it continues, I suggest, just going ahead and buy a home kit. Better to know and not worry so much, than to add stress by worrying and not knowing. Make sure to take it after your missed monthly, and take it in the morning to reduce the risk of a false negative. <3 Good luck! *hugs* |
Date: 8/12/2010 6:42:00 PM From Authorid: 62579 I could never tell until I was about 6 weeks along. That is when the symptoms start. The sickness didn't go away until later in the pregnancy for me (month 4). I was very tired from the start though. If you are on birth control and take it on time you should have nothing to worry about really. Even in early pregnancy a test may not show up + right away. |

Date: 8/12/2010 7:59:00 PM From Authorid: 62918 I've never been pregnant (I'm waiting till marriage), but I can tell you that I've had weird, strong cravings for certain foods (it's your body's way of needing some component in the food); been nauseous for no reason for months, along with pain (okay, eventually it was found to be a stomach thing and medicine thing); and exhaustion (turns out to be a vitamin deficiency that runs in my family, and mono from almost a decade before that went unnoticed and untreated till then... oh, and now the pollen count). Reasonable explinations for each thing. Best of luck, Hun! |
Date: 8/12/2010 8:56:00 PM From Authorid: 15228 I was stationed in Korea and in pure denial. I thought I was sick because of the food, pollution, the smell from the recent paint job the barracks had received....I was married and on the pill, yet I didn't believe. I lost a ton of weight from being sick, finally went to the clinic and they told me in front of a room full of GI's that I was pregnant. I burst into tears in front of everyone. I was so in shock, a baby wasn't in our plans, I was suppose to go to NCO school the following month. They took me in the back and said I could have an abortion in Japan! That snapped me out of my shock and enraged me...took about 5 minutes to become totally protective of my baby! |

When I fell pregnant with my three kids, I wasn't on birth control and I always seemed to get sick from the get go!! but that was just me, I guess many others are different, but, I did sort of know from the start that I was... |

With my first I had no idea. I had been drinking at a party and then I really needed to use the bathroom, so I went home (right next door) and noticed a pregnancy test from my (at the time) husbands exgirlfriend. I decided "What the heck?" and used it, then threw it away. About 5 minutes later my other neighbor knocked on my door and said she had locked herself out of her apartment and could she use my bathroom. I said sure, she went in used the bathroom and came out screaming "Oh my gosh! You're pregnant?" I was like... "no." With my second, everyone was telling me I was pregnant, and finally around 2 months I took a test that came back positive. I'll get back to you on this... |

Awww, BB ... have you been drinking the water around here ??? You saw what just happened to Black Sunshine .. LOL I do think sense of smell gets heightened in some people, and it did with me. I had no cravings .. but I did have a huge aversion to peanuts or peanut butter. If I even got the faint hint of smelling peanut butter, I felt like I was going to get sick to my stomach. This happened for the whole pregnancy. Then right after our daughter was born, I went back to loving peanuts. Good luck to you either way BB !!! |
