The West Memphis Three *ANGUS*

Hello guys, I made a poem about the West Memphis Three a little while back. I have been thinking about the injustice of this case, and how upset it makes me that such a thing could happen. Please read this bulletin I posted on my band's MySpace. The text is copied directly from the bulletin:

---------------------- http://www.wm3.org/Updates

I know I've brought up the West Memphis Three in the past, and I'm doing it again because this issue is important to me. Please visit the website and read about the case if you don't know about the WM3.

Think about it, this could have been you. I'm not an expert when it comes to politics or social issues, but I know injustice when I see it. Three metalheads, not much different from the rest of us, just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Unfortunately, their differences led to unfair punishment from a fearful, conservative town. It is possible that Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelly Jr. may never see the justice that they deserve. However, we can't give up and let them suffer without a fight.

If you feel the same way I do, please support the cause in any way you can. Make donations, spread the word, do anything. Go to iTunes and buy the single "Justice At Last" by A Sound Of Thunder, 100% of proceeds will go to the West Memphis Three Legal Defense Fund.

One step suggested by Echols himself is to simply be respectful. While nobody has the right to judge you by your looks or taste in music, you can give metalheads a better name by simply being respectful. Make it easier on yourself, and try to only question authority when necessary.

Thank you for reading, free the West Memphis Three. -Ty ---------------------

There are many injustices that go on every day and the majority of people don't want anyone "bringing them down" off their little cloud basically.

have you ever heard of Leonard Peltier? He is a native american that was accused of killing a FBI agent in the 70's, he has had numerous support from bands and artists, along with rallys, notably, Rage against the Machine and he is still in Federal Pen.

I could go on and on, it's good you care but injustice happens every day. All we can do is keep supporting their efforts to get recognized and justice prevail.

But at the same time, who did it?? Terry Hobbs? John Mark Byers? I would love to know the answer. And those little boys need justice so bad. It is such a tragedy. There were some odd things about the WM3 that made them look like suspects, so I'm not going to say I'm 100% sure of their innocence. But I am glad they were released, because the evidence just wasn't there. This is probably the most frustrating true crime case I've researched.
