Saying goodbye to Summer, and bracing myself for the colder months

Our Summer is over, and Autumn is on us.  I love all the seasons, but have absolutely loved this Summer.  The best Summer for years.  Hardly any cool days, and not too many hot days.  Just beautiful weather.  We've had the rain, but that just helps balance things out.

Having just loved this Summer, leaves me with the feeling of not looking forward to rugging up again.  I normally don't mind the season changes.  But the thought of having to rug up to go jump in the pool to exercise is a little off putting. LOL.  I know I will keep doing it, I started in Winter last year, would be silly to give up because of the weather.  But, the change rooms are sooooooo cold, no warmth in there. LOL

I've lost some weight since last winter, so I'm not really prepared clothes wise either.  I've got some stuff, but need more for work etc.  But, that is only a minor thing compared to what others have to go through.

Anyway, enough prattle.  Most of you will be preparing for Summer, and saying goodbye to your Winter.  Always gets to me, that when I'm cold,  most of you are sweltering and vice versa.

Enjoy your Spring!

How it changed my life:

When I was younger, Summer was the only season for me. Now, I appreciate all of them.

Date: 3/8/2010 2:22:00 AM  From Authorid: 28848    Oh I'm so glad that winter is winding down here. Spring is upon us, and none too soon. This has been one the coldest winters I can remember.
Date: 3/8/2010 2:44:00 AM  From Authorid: 16916    I am so unbelievably happy that our long long winter is over, here in the states!! BUt I am sad for you Aussies who are ending your summer.
Date: 3/8/2010 2:45:00 AM  From Authorid: 16916    RM, I have to agree. This winter has been very, very cold!
Date: 3/8/2010 4:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 23075    I hate winter, although I am 'warming' up to it in my later years. I really like the spring and the summer if it isn't too humid.

Date: 3/8/2010 5:58:00 AM  From Authorid: 43807    All I got to say is better you than me, I couldnt take another winter. What's rugging up? Is school taught all year? hmmm.. sorry so many questions. Fall is a good time I have always loved it. Hated that it was right next to winter but I got use to it. Spring is to muddy. I wonder what it's like to have christmas in the summer. Sorry, mumbling. I have a serious case of wanderlust, and no way to satisfy it.
Date: 3/8/2010 6:56:00 AM  From Authorid: 15157    I love our winters...its our summers I detest over here lol...it gets too hot and it hardly rains.
Date: 3/8/2010 7:24:00 PM  From Authorid: 63846    you poor aussies. we're going into spring now.
Date: 3/8/2010 11:17:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 26303    Donuts, rugging up means put on warm clothes. Guess it comes from putting a rug (blanket) around you. School is broken up into 4 terms. With 2 week breaks between terms. Except between 4th and 1st. We break usually a week before Xmas, and then resume school end of Jan or beginning of Feb. Roughly 5 - 6 week break over the summer months. Xmas in Summer is the only way I know how to experience. LOL. For me, in the colder states, it can either be very hot, cool, cold or just right. This last Christmas was just right. Hope that answers your questions, you weren't rambling, just curious. :-)
