USM, this is my first post and written piece of poetry since last November. Reason being, I've been busy writing things with my band that it's hard for me to get a moment for myself. So here it goes. It's written in song fashion (almost).
The Heart Attack (I Want You To)...
I want you to feel the same,
I want you to bleed the same way,
As I do.
I want you,
I want you to.
Suffer inside like me.
This heart attack I cannot take,
I can't take this,
Can't take it,
No, cannot take this heart attack.
Bleeding and broken,
Inside I'm choking.
For certain there's nothing,
When hoping seems hopeless,
Down on my knees,
And yet I'm not retreating.
I want you to feel the same,
I want you to fail the same way,
As I do.
I want you,
I want you to.
Suffer inside like me.
This heart attack I cannot take,
I can't take this,
Can't take it,
No, cannot take this heart attack.
I feel the life pouring from my veins,
Sever these realities.
This shell is cracking,
Fragile, collapsing.
Empty inside with no guiding light.
I want you to feel the same,
I want you to perish the same way,
As I do.
I want you,
I want you to.
Suffer inside like me.
This heart attack I cannot take,
I can't take this,
Can't take it,
No, cannot take this heart attack.
This heart attack is destroying me,
For I am only human.
