Sick little girl :(

The beginning of this week my daughter woke up early in the morning and threw up a couple of times. We kept her home from school that day, but she seemed fine, and we sent her back the next day, since she had no fever or any other issues.

Today she asked to take a bubble bath so I let her. I noticed after a little bit that she had at least ten medium sized red circles on her back. There is nothing in our tub that could have caused that so I am guessing it was an allergic reaction to the bubble stuff I put in. It didn't seem to bother her at all, so I dismissed it and got her out of the tub. She wanted to eat, but just wasn't satisfied with anything I gave her. In a three hour period she ate chicken soup, orange slices,  and ice cream. Around 8:30 tonight she started complaining that her tummy hurt and she wanted to take another bath. I figured why not, filled the tub (no bubbles this time) and got her in. About ten minutes in she jumped out of the tub and ran to the toilet and started vomiting. She's been throwing up about every half hour since. We're giving her ginger ale every hour or so. She has no fever whatsoever, and she hasn't poo'd (sorry). I'm just basically lost on what it could be, since she's a very healthy little girl. It's very rare that she gets sick. I'd just like some ideas on what it could be so I could help her feel better. Anything would be appreciated.

Date: 2/13/2010 8:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 42945    Water is the best thing to give her whilst she is puking so much sweetie...poor little thing, maybe just picked up some bug from school and that's the problem once they start school mixing in with other kids who could have had some virus...If she gets a temp and still pukes a lot and won't drink fluids take her to the doctor, better to be safe with kids these days..I hope she gets better soon hun..*hugs* to your daughter.
Date: 2/13/2010 8:57:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 64723    She is definitely dehydrated. We just started giving her water, thanks to you're guys' posts. I'm so worried she has a blockage or something... I figure if she hasn't stopped or slowed down on the vomiting by tomorrow morning, then I'm going to try to find a ride to the hospital. :/
Thank you guys.

Date: 2/13/2010 9:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 62993    She might have the chicken pox, but I agree she should go to a hospital if she doesn't stop.
Date: 2/13/2010 9:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 15228    If she isn't feeling better by morning you should most definitely take her in, they can give her some anti nausea medication to stop the vomiting. More than likely it's just a coincidence that she got sick Monday and again today.
Date: 2/13/2010 9:07:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 64723    I'll def keep an eye out for the red spots to come back.
Date: 2/13/2010 9:13:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 64723    Thats what I was guessing, but I wanted to make sure I gave all the background. I'm sure she'd love the anti nausea meds right now. Poor girl
Date: 2/13/2010 9:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 15228    I figured, and you're like me, you can help but worry when your kid gets sick and you start thinking all kinds of scary things!
Date: 2/14/2010 12:09:00 AM  From Authorid: 24003    Its most likely just a nasty stomach virus. Hope she feels better soon. Like the others say, if she isnt better by tomorrow, take her in.
Date: 2/14/2010 6:09:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 64723    She's doing better now. She stopped throwing up around 5am. Now she has a massive case of dehydration... we're pretty much pouring water into her lol, and she's shaking pretty bad, but who wouldn't after a night like that.
Date: 2/14/2010 8:04:00 AM  From Authorid: 4995    You have my prayers. May she get better soon. CP.
Date: 2/14/2010 4:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 55903    For the dehydration, she not only needs water, but also either Gater-Aid or Pedialite for the electrolites in them. If she begins vomiting again take her to ER pronto! Wishing you the best.
Date: 2/15/2010 2:35:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 64723    Hey guys!
Just wanted to let you know Adia is doing pretty well. She had a bit of a fever yesterday afternoon, but the throwing up has stopped, and the dehydration is taken care of. She's pretty much back to her normal goofy self. Thank you guys so much for helping me calm my over worrying self.
