It wasnt anything I've heard before

I'm just thinking about this now, I've been back on the site for a few weeks now and was mentally filtering through all the strange things in my life. They happen quite frequently but this one stood out. It happened a few months ago. My husband and I have just finished putting plastic on windows to get ready for winter, the nights were getting chilly and the electricity was bound to get expensive soon. Every window around the house had been sealed and thick winter curtains hung.

It was a normal night. We both laid in bed with the puppy at the end of the bed. Then we heard this noise. It is really hard to describe really. I have never heard a banshee cry but that was my first thought. It sounded like death and it sounded like it was in our room screaming in our ears. The squeal was high and didnt last very long.

"What the heck was that?" we said at the same time.

Now when it comes to noises my pup is the first one to start barking her little puppy head off but she was still at the end of the bed only opening her eyes to see why we were moving. Now my heart is in my stomach and my ears are pounding like drums. My husband eases out of bed to go on his manly search of the house. He came back saying all the guardians of our domain were still asleep (dogs, cats and birds) and they do make a better alarm than any electronics.

The strange thing was as soon as he left I felt something odd. Okay I'm a wimp, I backed up into the corner, and in the center of the room I saw this fuzzy greenish haze with purple haze it seemed to melt in an incredible color. I wasnt scared of it, It soothed me completely I went from being super wimp to going back to bed and feeling completly at ease.

That was it for that night. No other strange noises or bumps in the night.

A week later my husband was helping the neighbor down the road. He told my husband "so last week the guy who used to live in that house you kids bought passed away. Wish you could have met em one heck of a nice guy"

Now the question is What was that noise??? What was the haze of purple and green??? What do you think??
