I usully only dream o tornados when something emotionally critical is about to happen in my own life. Its like a warning. As for the midwest we always get horrible tornados every year.  |

Here we go Tornado Alley! They predicted our winter in TX was going to be the wettest in history. And it was strange that the gulf of Mexico had no hurricanes enter it at all! The storm systems went aloft! Then that big Earthquake that hit Hiati! Something is getting ready to happen!  |

Yep...The weathermen usually can predict where tornados will hit when the conditions are right so at least we have some warnings. |

I have a basement, so that's good. They say El Nino is affecting our weather this year and I think they've been pretty right about that. They said the plains and Gulf states would have more snow and would be colder than usual, the Ohio valley would be warmer and wetter and so far that's been true. I don't know if El Nino brings more tornado activity, I'll have to look.  |

Here is what I found: During El Niño the jet stream is oriented from west to east across the southern portion of the United States. Thus, this region becomes more susceptible to severe weather outbreaks. During La Niña the jet stream and severe weather is likely to be farther north. |
