The Lovely Bones

The movie didn't evoke the same emotions that the book did for me.  Although I can't remember a whole lot of the book, I vividly remember the feelings I had at the time of reading it.  I sobbed so hard whilst reading the book that I would have to put it down until I got myself under control.  A tear or two came to my eye while watching the movie, but certainly no gut wrenching tears.  I remember that I loved the way the book was written, in the way that she was looking down from her heaven.  The movie still does this, but it's kinda weird.  The movie seemed so slow.  I even checked my watch a few times.

Having said all of that.  My friends who saw it with me, although they thought it slow too, really enjoyed it.  They haven't read the book, so it was all new to them.

But don't go by my opinion, 'cos everyone sees things differently.  You may love this movie, lots of people do.  Or you may be like me, and leave the cinema feeling full of Coke Zero, yet very flat. LOL
