Date: 1/5/2010 6:34:00 PM From Authorid: 62993 I'm bored, too. I've been on my Christmas/winter break and I don't go back until the 19th and I have nothing to do. |
Date: 1/5/2010 6:36:00 PM From Authorid: 63026 I always wondered how you Aussies celebrate Christmas in the summer...It's suppose to be cold and snowy for Christmas, not during the summer. |
Date: 1/5/2010 6:37:00 PM From Authorid: 64365 Your post about nothing turned out to be a great post about several things. Thanks, Aussie...HUGS |

Date: 1/5/2010 6:44:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 26303 Psy, I don't know any other way to celebrate Xmas. LOL. I've thought it would be nice to have a white Christmas, but I don't like being cold, so I don't know how I'd cope. LOL |
Date: 1/5/2010 6:44:00 PM From Authorid: 62679 Fun post! I loved it. Lovely Bones looks like it will be good. Where are you having lunch? |
Date: 1/5/2010 6:46:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 26303 Awww, thanks Nani. Don't know how I thought I was picking up the mood talking about "The Lovely Bones". I howled my eyes out reading the book, no doubt I will watching the movie. LOL |
Date: 1/5/2010 6:51:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 26303 Thanks Lavendar Wings. We are thinking of going to a place called, The Australian/Italian Club. They serve really nice meals there. |
Date: 1/5/2010 6:59:00 PM From Authorid: 63026 It would be weird here to have Christmas in summer over here..I really think the reason we have Christmas in Winter is that the christmas lights outside look better in the dark @ 6 pm, and people can look at 'em longer, then waiting 'til after 9 pm to turn them on, and more people will see the lights @ 6pm, then at 9 pm |

LOL, yes well you make a good point about the lights. But Christmas isn't all about the lights, and to be honest, it's really only been about 20 years or so that us average Aussies have had Xmas lights. Christmas to me is about giving and being with family, enjoying each other. |
Date: 1/5/2010 7:15:00 PM From Authorid: 63026 I know but it was always fun being a kid and your parents driving around to look at the lights on peoples houses |
Date: 1/5/2010 7:27:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 26303 LOL, school hols start here generally a week before Christmas. So you see many kids being driven around looking at the lights. Xmas eve has lots of people light watching. |
