This is very nice LD. and yet very sad that we should even have to talk about things like this that should be and once were taken for granted! Soon though the dark ones will have to go ...because The Light will always win. |

My comment is not directed at you, just towards the poem itself and what it is saying.
I prefer the original version of Mary had a little lamb, personally.. reason being, first off, it speaks of an animal, not a God.. people do not view religion in the same manner as someone else. What works for some, do not work for others. Yet, mainstreams feel everyone should share the same views. I find that to be a form of brainwashing.
I am relieved they took religion out of schools. It does not belong there as not everyone shares the exact same view as the next person. Most of your schools were teaching Christian views only, and there are many other ways that are not Christian based, to worship God that are just as equally valid. If the schools do not honor that, then it should not be allowed.

Yes I went to Catholic school where religion was taught...personally, I don't see anything wrong with it. Where my grandaughter went to school, they had scripture class and if any parents objected to their children learning about it, they went to a craft class...I mean what is wrong with kids learning about God? as they get older they can decide for themselves what they want to believe in..just my opinion....I still like the older version of Mary had a little Lamb ...but thank you Lady Darkness for sharing this with us hun... |

Hmmm, that is one problem too.. if the parents did not condone it, the child was placed elsewhere. What did that teach our children? Segregation, favoritism, feeling left out and a sense of not belonging... |
