Hey everyone, I got back from NYC a few hours ago, just wanted to give you a little review of my experience in NYC. It's short, sweet & to the point, and I copied it from my MySpace blog:
"Well, I'm finally back from NYC. I left Friday with my parents & my friend Jared. We got there in the afternoon, and just hung out at the hotel for the rest of the night. The next day, we went out and did different stuff (Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, Central Park, etc.) to pass the time.
Then, it was 6:00pm. Time to rock. We went over to Madison Square Garden, waited in line, and finally got into the venue. The place was amazing, and our seats were pretty good (section 97). We waited some more, and at around 7pm Volbeat started playing. They were really good, I started listening to them about a month or two ago.
After they finished, there was a small break and then Lamb Of God was up. They aren't my favorite band in the world, but I was looking forward to seeing them. They were pretty good, had a lot of energy and performed well. Then, they were done and it was time for Metallica.
We waited for what seemed like forever, and I swear the roadies took their time just to make the fans more anxious lol. Anyway, the lights dimmed, The Ecstasy Of Gold started playing, and anyone who was sitting immediately shot up out of their seat.
To make a long story short, Metallica rocked. They rocked hard. The setlist was great, and my friend and I flipped out when they played Fight Fire With Fire and Whiplash. The pyros were cool, we could feel them from our seats even though we were about 30-40 yards away from the stage. By the end of the night, my feet were tired and my throat was sore from singing and yelling along at the top of my lungs the whole time. I was dehydrated and tired, but left with a smile on my face because I just saw the greatest metal band in the world play a great show at Madison Square Garden.
If you think Metallica sucks nowadays, go see em live. They'll prove you wrong in the course of 2 hours. Even my mom liked them and wants to see them again lol.
Anyway, that's all. Just wanted to let you know how my weekend went.
-Ty"
I DEFINETLY recommend going to see Metallica live, even if you aren't the biggest fan of their music. They put on a great show, and it's worth every penny. They are the best they've been in years at this moment, and you can tell they are loving life.
