...for at least a week or so Have a great time! And tell him thank you, from me. Thank *YOU*, too.... military spouses are often way under-appreciated and hardly ever get acknowledgment for their sacrifice. |

Thank you Everyone Sorry for the delay of response. Making sure I have everything packed that I need. LOL Mercury- YEP! And thanks. When Hubby first got to basic, he sent me this beautiful flowery thing that said, "ARMY Wife- The toughest job in the military". I am still new to all of this, but I can see how that is true. We're left behind to make sure the house and kiddo/s stay balanced out, as well as be supportive to our spouses, encouraging, and trying to stay strong through it all. It's definitely a balancing act of emotions, but I'm getting through it the best I can. Thanks hun! I will definitely share the message of thanks from everyone. I know what he'll say, "You're welcome, but no need to thank me. I'm doing something that my heart and soul feels through and through, to do. I do it because I care about my family, and about my friends' families, and everyone else in this country. That's why I serve, to help, to defend, and to protect." xD He wrote that in a letter response to his best friend. His best friend showed it to me on Myspace. So, there's ya'll's response too. hehe Thanks Ginger, Yep, finally here. I've talked about it enough that most people are probably sick of hearing about it. For those that don't know- for the last month I've had probably 20 status messages counting down the days until I get to see hubby. lol.. Sorry, to my buddies there.hehe Just goes to show how excited I really am! hehehe Ok, off to get the rest of my stuff together. I think I have most of it already, but I need to put it all together, so I don't forget something. hehe *huge hugs all* Less than 24 hours until I get to hug and kiss my hubby! |

I still have an iron on that my husband's Chief Petty Officer gave to me right after we got married that says the same thing (except substitute *Navy* Wife). I never did put it on a shirt My job as a military spouse wasn't so tough - he was never more than 45 minutes away from me for more than 24 hours at a time, but I can see how it could be. You're strong... you'll do just fine. |

Date: 10/15/2009 7:43:00 PM From Authorid: 63871 Congratulations. What's his AIT that he has to stay at Leonard Wood? (I've heard it called Fort Lost in the woods haha). I'm sure he's itching to finish up his AIT and get out of there, from what I've heard it's a bit of a miserable place. I wish you guys luck. I'll be going to ft. Benning GA next summer for basic and AIT. Already been processed and gone through MEPS, just need to finish this last year of high school. |
