As far as I know, it really is just looking for water. It's important for future long-term colonizations of the moon to know whether we can mine the water there or if we have to import it all from Earth at incredible expense.  |

Now if I would have written this post, the ridiculers would come out telling me to put my tinfoil hat on. It is a mystery as why we had to bomb it to "check for water" when the indian sattilite probe the other day confirmed that there was water on the moon, sounds like a moon ownership property dispute is on the horizon.  |

@}~~ Nanaki, yes we did. I watched it live at the time. conspiracy can be found in anything but this did indeed happen, look it up online and you will see. Now I did not know anything about it until I turned on the morning news that day and the "Today" show aired it live. It was quickly stopped being talked about but it DID happen. |

No. You saw no bombing of anything. It was a calculated high impact crash from an unmanned rocket. They were trying to kick up enough debris to find underground water. The mission was, for the most part, a failure(In terms of FINDING the water they were after) but they did gather a lot of new data about the moons surface. |
