...just heard today that you're more likely to get the swine flu if you get the injection. Duh! News twisting at it's finest. You do get a tiny dose of it, don't you? Something easily conquered by your immunology? Or, have you been duped by your leader? Do you feel expendable? I am having a secret meeting in the caves at Kelso Conservation Point in Milton Ontario on the twenty-sixth of September. Try to keep this hush. |
Date: 9/24/2009 10:09:00 PM From Authorid: 820 I have never received a flu shot.. I don't plan on getting one this year, either. |
Date: 9/24/2009 10:38:00 PM From Authorid: 42945 I've always had my flu shots and I intend to have the Swine Flu shot as well as soon as I can... |
Date: 9/25/2009 12:12:00 AM From Authorid: 37150 No because it gives you a cold. Jk. I actually went for my flu shot, but I had caught a cold just before I was schedule, so I couldn't take it. The cold turned into the flu and I didn't need to get it. |
Date: 9/25/2009 3:59:00 AM From Authorid: 32806 As swine flu is pretty much harmless to the vast majority of us I am not bothering. Better to catch it and prime the immune system naturally. If it mutates to a more deadly version, the present vaccine will be useless anyway. |
Date: 9/25/2009 4:31:00 AM From Authorid: 23075 I have been getting the flu shot now for about 20 years, and yes I do plan on having the one for swineflu as well |
Date: 9/25/2009 7:00:00 AM From Authorid: 7710 I used to get the flu shot every year- and every year I got the flu. Ever since I stopped getting them (which has been a few years), I haven't gotten the flu once. I don't plan on getting the H1N1 vaccine. |

never had one. don't care for needles. my husband got one about 5 or 6 years ago and got so sick it was like he had the flu so i figure what's the point. my daughter stays sick for 2-3 months after having one so she opted out this year. my granddaughter got her first one this month. she goes in a couple of weeks for a booster. she got 4 shots that day so we don't know for sure which one bugged her! she's also cutting teeth so she was not a happy camper for a few days! |

Date: 9/25/2009 11:06:00 AM From Authorid: 22852 @}~~ My Dr. said NO to the flu shots, I have an autoimmune illness {myasthenia gravis} and if I take the shot is would be bad for me. I took the german measles shot and guess what happened.. yup, got the german measles so Dr said not to take the chance. |
Date: 9/25/2009 11:17:00 AM From Authorid: 10245 I had already decided not to, but after reading that ingredient list, I'm more certain than ever! |

I'm too poor to get the flu shot, and I don't think my student insurance will cover it because I'm not overtly at risk. I could be wrong. I don't think I'd choose to get it anyway. Call me an idiot, but I'd almost rather just get sick than get stuck with any needles... |
Date: 9/25/2009 1:25:00 PM From Authorid: 35720 I've never had a flu shot and I'm still alive.. so no, I won't be getting one this year either. |
Date: 9/25/2009 4:17:00 PM From Authorid: 53284 I got my regular flu shot last weekend. I'm going to get the H1N1 when it becomes available. |
Date: 9/25/2009 7:22:00 PM From Authorid: 54444 I will do both |
Date: 9/25/2009 7:59:00 PM From Authorid: 1432 I've only received the flu shot one year a loooong time ago and only cuz my work was making it free and gave the shot right there.. just had no desire to get another one. If I get the flu.. I get it.. if I dont.. I dont.. |
Date: 9/25/2009 10:15:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 12341 Thanks for all the comments, I'm getting lots of questions about when it will be available more than those who are against it. I appreciate the answers everyone gave, I always try to be honest with people when they ask and truely, I just am not sure. Most Doctors are recommending it, but I still maintain that the best way to stay healthy is keeping clean hands and staying away from sick people. |
Date: 9/26/2009 7:20:00 AM From Authorid: 49976 Got a flu shot. Dr. reccomended it since I live with my elderly grandparents. No h1n1 shot for me i'm scared of it. My dad said back in the 70s there was an outbreak of swine flu and the vaccine killed so many thousand people..ill take my chances on h1n1.It's my understanding that you have to catch type A flu in order to get swine flu anyways,I could be misinformed though. |
Date: 9/26/2009 11:56:00 AM From Authorid: 60089 My university was offering swine flu vaccinations for $15. A lot of people dorm [myself included] and when one person gets sick, everyone on the floor does too. That is why I think the university should make it free for us. I already was really sick a week or two ago and I'm still not 100% better so I don't want a shot right now. Anyway, I don't have $15; I have to pay off my credit card bill. So, I won't be getting one. |
