 x 1000.. I'm glad you are letting us know what is going on. I always though that Methadone treatment was a good thing and it stopped the withdrawal symptoms from other drugs. In my ignorance I believed it was the easy way out of drug addiction. Shows how much I know.. Please keep up the informative posts.. I'm sure it will help others.. -Love Rad. |

Having fought an addiction to painkillers (particularly Oxycontin) eight years ago, I understand the feelings you are going through right now. My heart goes out to you...stay strong, you will feel better. It helped me to keep a diary of my feelings at that time and attending Narcotics Anonymous meetings also helped. ((((HUG))))  |

Bless your heart Cory. I have never been addicted to anything but nicotine and dry humor, but I have friends who have been addicted to hard drugs and I have been with them through the withdrawls of getting clean. You have my highest respect for being brave enough to kick the monster out of your life. You are in my prayers. Sometimes the cure seems worse than the disease, but I know you can be strong enough to see it through. It is a tough battle, but it must be won with the mind. Don't give up hope. In time it will ease and you will soon be back to normal.  |

My friend was hooked real bad on Herion and they subsrcibed her suboxens, also called bups if you know it that way, and a person she knows was stupid enough to encourage her to boot her bups. BOOTING A PILL. It just burns your veins. I've done methadone once or twice, I was more hooked on herion, OC's... I don't touch the stuff anymore, but when I have I have willpower to NOT get hooked anymore. Good luck with your struggle, if you need someone to talk to, I understand, just PM me.  |

I have a cousin who is hooked on methadone. Its supposed to be a drug with no withdrawals but he sure as heckfire hurts when he runs out!! When he's on it he turns out really stupid.  |

my friends son is addicted to the methadone he used it to get off other drugs. i just found out last week that he is mixing the methadone with cocaine. I wish you the best of luck to get off it.  |

Thank you everyone..I am trying to get on Subutex. it's like suboxone but it doesn't have narcon in it so you can'tr abuse it and it doesn't get you high, it takes away ALL withdrawl symptoms and you have 0 cravings. A doctor has to have a special licence to prescibe those though and where I live now it's been hard finding anyone. I have a dr appt. but they are booked out until Dec.21 I'm hanging in there though..18 days today I appreciate all of your prayers and support! |

30 days baby!!! I feel good today! They put me on an opiatat blocker and it's really helping that and my new head meds I'm a new person. My family says I even look younger..and hey you can't beat that with a bat!! LOL! Love you guys |

I'm so sorry to hear this, yes my duh duh sister sammie thought that stuff would help with her pain, and boy did she have a bad time getting off it too. Now my daughter kate never used it she was a meth user about 16 years ago. The only way she got off the meth was by smoking more pot, now I know that this isn't the answer but it worked for her. Sorry I know lots of people are against pot and while I'm not a smoker, *yes I tried it, didnt like it, gave me a panic attack* I have nothing against people that smoke it. But meth or methadone, both are bad bad news. Hope you are feeling better.  |

Wow just stopped by and was reading some of my old post's..Ive been off of Methadone for 2yrs. now I don't ever want to go there again!! It was the hardest thing I have ever done and I thank God it's over!! |
