First Day of School (pics!!!!)

Whew. So, my munchkin started school today. We dropped her off a little after noon. We were a little curious how she would handle it, because when one of us leaves the house, even to go check the mail, she has a complete breakdown. She handled this well. She was very impatient. Once we got there she wanted to stand in her classes line (even though nobody was there yet). She was asking the T.A. all kinds of questions and trying to sneak into the school before the bus kids got there. They gave her a little card with her name on it that she had to wear around her neck. There were lots of hugs and kisses and then she was asked to be the line leader. So... we left. And walking back to the sidewalk I had a REALLY hard time trying not to cry. I've been with her 24/7 for the past three years, and its hard to hand her off to someone else. My husband took me out for coffee and I ran into a friend I haven't seen in a while.

 We picked her up about an hour ago. Her teacher told us she is VERY independent, and that she is the Great Wanderer. I'm gonna have to break her of that habit this week before she goes back to school. Yeah, she doesn't have to go back until next Tuesday. They are staggering the first day... I've never heard of that before, but... hey whatever. Adia said she met some friends, and that she didn't go potty at school, and that's all she would tell us. I'm quite curious what else she did, but I'm not gonna push it. I'm sure I'll enjoy time alone, but man, this first day stuff is hard!

My baby isn't a baby anymore....
