I'm not a doctor but I would assume that you feel terrible later because, of the fact that your blood pressure has increased. I don't suffer from high blood pressure mine is usually too low so I can't really say what causes it but I've known people to get headaches from high blood pressure, pass out from it and have to be hospitilized.
Your doctor knows you better than any of us possibly could so it might be wise to ask him/her why this is in case they need to readjust medications. Good Luck Illy! |

I agree with Angi. Best to ask your doctor. |

You want to raise your rate to about 80 percent of your maxium heart rate. I'm 45 years old and during exercise I try to keep my heart rate up in the 130-140 range for at least 20 minutes of my work out. Here is a chart to find your maxium heart rate http://stresscourse.tripod.com/id63.html |

Stay at your 140 until you at least see your doctor, and especially if you are on thyroid meds, I suffer with high blood pressure and it's one condition I do not try to work out for myself, I leave it up to the professional...See your doctor.. |

Talk to your doctor to make sure your workout regimen isn't affecting your blood pressure or if there's specific workout techniques that can help your blood pressure. Take care, |

I would bet the increased heartrate is affecting your blood pressure & making you feel sick. You really need to talk to your doctor to find out what he recommends as far as maximum heart rate, types of exercise, duration etc. |

Hmmm, that's weird because I sometimes feel like crap after working out too hard too. And I'm also on thyroid medication. And I don't typically have high blood pressure but since I'm nine months pregnant my blood pressure has increased some in the last few weeks. So I dunno...I'd just say tone it down some, it only happens to me when I over-do it. |
