My New Piercing (With Pic) ~Rika~

Just wanted to share my new piercing with everyone!

I have a friend who is a piercer and she did it for me for free. It's on my tragus, which is the little flap of cartilage that covers your ear opening. I've wanted it for a few years now, but never got around to getting it. I was worried they'd have a problem with it at work, since they make me take out almost all of my other piercings, but they didn't seem to care about it too much.

Anyway, here's the picture. I thought it was going to hurt A LOT for some reason.. even held my boyfriend's hand while she did it.. I've never done that before! But alas.. it didn't hurt near as bad as I thought. Just a loud crunch is all.

Date: 7/25/2009 8:40:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 35720    Thanks! I actually want a lot of ear-related piercings, but I'm lazy when it comes to them for whatever reason. When I want any other body piercing, I get right on it.. haha.
Date: 7/25/2009 8:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 63026    that's awesome

Date: 7/25/2009 8:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 36850    Pretty cool. It's amazing the different things you can have pierced. I saw a picture the other day of someone that had some type of wedding ring piercing. It was supposed to be the sure way not to lose your ring! I think there's a girl on Real World right now that has some kind of piercing on her ring finger.
Date: 7/25/2009 8:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 36901    I think it looks great. I've been wanting to get it done myself (both ears), but haven't had the time. They'll be easy to cover up so I should be ok at work. I can wear my nose ring at work but I can't have my eyebrow pierced. I think it's stupid, but there isn't much I can do about it.
Date: 7/25/2009 9:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 64279    I've wanted mine done for a long time too. It looks great!

Date: 7/25/2009 10:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 62679    Sweet, I have mine done also. And it is not a piercing you can take in and out, you need pliers to pry it out pretty much so it is good work doesn't mind
Date: 7/25/2009 10:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 62679    I heard a loud pop!
Date: 7/25/2009 11:27:00 PM  From Authorid: 49172    it's the popping of the needle when it goes through the cartilage that got me when I had mine done. lol, but i loooved them. Looks good!
Date: 7/25/2009 11:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 23101    That's legit! I have the barbell in my left one! Mine didn't crunch though. Do you have both of them done now?!
Date: 7/26/2009 3:12:00 AM  From Authorid: 46527    Looks good.
Date: 7/26/2009 4:40:00 AM  From Authorid: 51876    My #2 best friend is a piercer and I know how hard that is to do properly. It is full of cartlidge and one of the more painful piercings. I find it iroic that you say you are a atheist and practice one of the most ancient forms of connecting to the spirit world. Piercings have always been a experience of connecting through a astral state.it is a transformation into one that "hears the spirit of the Gods". It's not just body decoration, it is a call.
Date: 7/26/2009 4:42:00 AM  From Authorid: 51876    oh it's early, the typo is Ironic.
Date: 7/26/2009 6:55:00 AM  From Authorid: 13546    I like it Rika!! Looks good on you hon.
Date: 7/26/2009 7:39:00 AM  From Authorid: 62798    Cool! You wear it well. I like it a lot. I am still hoping to get my tat one day.
Date: 7/26/2009 12:47:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 35720    Bruiex, that's interesting. There's really no meaning behind my body piercings, though. I just do it 'cause I like it. =]

Thanks for everyone's comments!

Date: 7/26/2009 3:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 21764    I used to have my tragus pierced! i loved it.. until it got infected once and i had to have the jewelry changed.. then i put a cute stud in it and it kept falling out and sometimes getting infected.. but yes very cute while it lasted.. love yours, and take better care of it then i did.. lol
Date: 7/26/2009 3:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 4144    crunch?! that would have been a big ouch for me! but i'm a big baby! looks pretty cute!
Date: 7/26/2009 9:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 31048    That's cute...I'd be terrified cause I'm a wimp. Somehow I managed to do my bellybutton twice, it hurt so bad. I've been wanting a little stud in my nose but the idea of piercing cartlidge is really scary to me....
Date: 8/2/2009 12:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 12709    Do you have blonde in your hair again?
Date: 8/12/2009 8:34:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 35720    Ashley, nah..it's just my natural hair color (light brown) coming through.
