What if...



This was all a dream?

More like a nightmare,

so it would seem.

Walking through darkness

filled with fright,

shotgun in hand;

What will come of this night?





What if...



You could just wake up and you are somebody else.

The problems that plagued

you have taken fast flight.

The tears you cried,

are just dust on your pillow.

Life now; seems so utterly simple.





But that can’t be true,

get a darn clue

You just don’t become a totally new you...





WAKE UP!





Simply just take that very first step,

out of the uneasy slumber

that kept you from being your best.

You see it now, inside of you;

a strength, more mighty,

then even you knew.





You can dash and dodge

with the best of them now.

Simply walk on,

and keep up that pace,

staring the ugliness

straight in it's face.





there is nothing to fear,

I am here with you now

a still sweet voice inside you whispers...



Keep looking ahead,

don’t look back.

Yearning to change the past

wont change your path.

Trust in your instincts

and don’t second guess.

Listen to your heart closely,

you will do what's best.



Don’t get distracted with human flaw

you can step past

all that muck

just lift your foot

and get unstuck.



Take things

with the grain of salt

that they are,

in the big picture,

they matter nothing at all.



You will continue to live and to grow

if only you allow it to just be so.

For you don’t stop in the middle of the game

and

you don't finish until the last touchdown's made.
