Date: 7/2/2009 3:58:00 PM From Authorid: 4995 Go down a list of lawyers through the phonebook. You will find several that offer free consultation which means they will give you legal advice and tell you what you need to do. I mean GO down the list of them no matter how many you have to go through. I dont know what you are trying to accomplish but thats a good free way to get advice. Don't panic. Good luck. CP. |
Date: 7/2/2009 4:15:00 PM From Authorid: 61968 I have to agree with CP. You might even luck out and find a lawyer that is willing to do some pro bono cases. Dont give up hope... |
Date: 7/2/2009 5:16:00 PM From Authorid: 14754 i guess iam out of the loop, cuz i dont really understand what you are saying here.....perhaps you can get legal assistance......there is a place in washington state that deals with family law for people with low income. |
Date: 7/2/2009 5:34:00 PM From Authorid: 49689 you'll have to get an attorney and he'll have to file a motion with the courts to get them returned |

I'm sure there are places to get a lawyer for people who have low income. You can also call around to local lawyers and explain them your situation and see if they can give you some insight on what steps to take to get your pictures back. If it happened in Missouri though, I'm pretty sure you're going to have to deal with the Missouri courts. But you can call around to lawyers in that state as well to see what they have to say. My best advice is talk to as many people as you can to see what the best course of action should be and to be persistent and assertive to let them know how important this is to you. Best of luck! |

Date: 7/2/2009 9:13:00 PM From Authorid: 12876 I would think a letter head from an attorney, will have an impacgt, see if for $25 or less, a lawyer will simply write a letter to them saying you would like to have the original pictures back wh98ich are yours, they are welcome to make theirselvers copies if they need them for records, but you want the original ones back, tghat may help good luck |
Date: 7/2/2009 9:46:00 PM From Authorid: 46486 Well, I really don't get what your saying. I read all the replies and what not, just talk to a lawyer from the state who ever have documents you want. |

I talk to hubby and he is going to write a letter to the paper in Missoui and tell them how they stole owr pictures and if that don't work I am going to take them to small clames court and get them in big trouble cause they have no right to them what so ever.I will let you know how that goes when we get them bck or get a reply back. |
Date: 7/3/2009 12:36:00 AM From Authorid: 3835 If I recall correctly.. if the courts ask you for evidence of any kind, once it is registered in the court system, you cannot get those back. They are now property of the government.. if I am wrong, I am certain someone will set me straight, Lol |
Date: 7/3/2009 4:40:00 AM From Authorid: 46527 When you hand documents of any kind to a court, it is up to you to take copies first. Once handed over, it is unlikely they will be returned. |

Date: 7/3/2009 12:38:00 PM From Authorid: 36704 Generally you can't just ask for evidence back. You have to petition the court and follow the proper legal channels. |

small claims will not get them in trouble, since small claims only has the power to award monetary damages and that would be very limited, and does not have the suthority to get the pictures released.. Just get an attorney to file a motion, and if you can't afford one then cut your losses and take the copies. |
