Bama Blast ----- told by me! hehe *With pictures*

Hiya All :D  

This year, I really worried, because my health hasn't been really good at all. I thought that my headaches would make it really difficult to get through and have a good time. I have so far, though, gotten through it suprisingly well, and have had a wonderful time.

Day 1-

I was late, as per usual. I don't think I have ever been on time to one of these. *hangs head* BUT! I did get there, and the first people I see is Donna, Kiki, Ghost Seer, Cloud watcher and Ram. I'm thinking at least that was all that was there. *Please don't throw tomatoes if I'm wrong about the order of things! hehe*

It was just us, for a long while. We talked, and cut up, and just had a really good time, while waiting on the others to arrive.

Then in sporadic droves, the USMERs arrived. First, I think it was Predictor, then Purple Rose and her lovely family; followed by Megan, her hubby Sean (Voice of reason), Wooden Nickel, Clifford and his two brothers (which were SO friendly- much like our resident pup!), and a few others. I think. My memory is seriously stinky sometimes. xD

Anyway, I do remember Megan and Sean were the last to arrive at the grounds. Because, as soon as they did- it was like the weather decided to turn into a big meanie on us. Florence's Tornado warning/watch siren went off soon after, and we all pretty much scadaddled home.

The day itself though, overall was completely, and utterly awesome. My favorite part of it was hugging Megan. She ran over to me, and just hugged me so tightly that it almost took my breath away. Oh, who am I kidding, all of it was my favorite part- just being able to see the people I've known and met before, and meeting the ones that I hadn't had the chance to meet before then- was just awe inspiringly awesome!

Oh! And it was nice and sunny when we arrived, but omg, the heaven's opened up, and poured rain down so many times. Sometimes when the sun was still glowing all pretty like. xD LOL

Day 2 (today)-

Again, I was late. LOL! But! This time, not by much. We had to wait for the potato salad to cool before we left the house, to make sure it was up to top flavor. :D hehe

We arrived, and the first thing we see, is the HUGE cloud of smoke coming off of the Grill. We got out, and hugs all around again. Today was nice and sunny, not too humid either, despite the rainy day before.

Priss found her horn, which she let us know she had it, and everyone else in the park knew it too. LOL!

Alex and Abby were pretty insperable. I told Purple Rose that I wouldn't be suprised if one day we were inlaws- even if Abby is HALF of Alex's age! xD LOL... Ok, so that won't matter when they are older, since it's only 2 years. xD

All of a sudden, a BUNCH of people, and when I say bunch I mean like 100 or more, swooped in, and were everywhere. We were SO confused as to what was going on. I  looked, and they were parking in front of the pavillion- well, I couldn't have that. LOL! Ya'll know, that's been there, the parking is limited already, and we still were waiting for USMers. We did get them to move, and they were very nice about it and it turns out, they were doing 4 baptisms in the river right in front of us- including singing. That was a bit of excitement.

Then the passing of the little stuffed alien doll took place,; I think everyone got a picture with it! lol

Donna and Megan read the names to the people that have passed on. That was very, very emotional. We all, shared stories after names were said, and just remembering their memory.

 At the end, Donna and Megan includded my Grandfather's name (Honorary USMer) in there, because they knew how much he enjoyed the last get together, and the people, and they knew he wanted to be there this year. That was very touching, but also sad, and we just cried. Thank you Donna and Megan for including him, it was like he was there with us all.

Soon after, we ate, and it was completely delicious- as always. We talked, we laughed, we teared up, but we had a great time.

We really did miss everyone that wasn't able to attend. We remembered you all, and could feel ya'll's thoughts going out to us! :D

Oh! And to end the night, My husband, my son and I went over to the hotel to go swimming. Kate, Ram, Kiki, Ricky, Bradley, The Girl Who and Her boyfriend were all there. We didn't swim long, but it was such an amazing end to the night. When we were finished, we all ended up in the hot tub, talking, and sharing stories about the past, present and future. Very nice end to the night. Only thing I wish I could have done was go down to the restaurant with them, and eat- but, I had to get the lil man home and in bed. hehe

I just want to thank everyone that attended. You all are awesome, and I feel so completely honored, priveledged, and just totally enriched knowing each of you. You are all blessings to me, and your friendships are long standing.

AND! one last thing, and I'll shut up and show the pictures. KIKI- I WILL be one of your Kittens. I just read my lil notebook where you asked me to check yes or no. hehehhehe :D You're adoreable!

And I know, there's only supposed to be 5 pictures per post- but this man right here is Amazing. Beyond Amazing, really! He's a total sweetheart too- I just couldn't NOT include this one :) 

This is Cloud Watcher; Kiki's Father. His stories are amazing, and he just loved getting hugs. I must have given him more than 10 within the last few days!

Anyway, that's what I have got for you all tonight. I will include more in another post sometime tomorrow. I CAN'T wait for tomorrow- but, also, I'm saddened. I wish these lasted longer. :)
