First, let me just say. Moving is SUCH a pain!!!! Despite all our previous moves....I NEVER understood why people had moving sales and sold a lot of USEFUL stuff. I mean, couch, computer desk, etc....your likely going to NEED...well......I totally get it now! Good news is we're pretty happy here now (But ask me again on the 1st when rent is due :l ) so we'll likely stay until we find a place that is truly ours. But for now....all I need is a washer and dryer and I'll be in complete heaven! (Laundry.....heaven lol who woulda thought...)
They layout is incredibly difficult though. it's a tri-level. And the office is downstairs. The kids want little to nothing to do with the basement. So that makes it difficult to work. Not sure how I'm going to deal with this yet. May have to move my computer upstairs or something. HOWEVER the BEST thing about having moved (Aside from the dishwasher, laundry hookups, second bathroom, garage.....) Celeste is actually sleeping in her room. Since late July she's been sleeping in our room on our floor......that was a pain. I can't tell you how many times she got tripped over (Late night potty runs for the pregnant lady)....
We went to this party this past weekend. Pretty akward for me as I didn't know anyone but my husband and brother in law. It's really hard to just jump into conversations with people you don't know....and when they don't find ways to drag you into the conversation. Yeah. BUT one good thing came from it. I found the absolute BEST cake (Minus high end bakery type cakes) Ever hear of a mayonaise cake? Yeah I haven't......but it was so drool worthy. I told hubby I would have gone back for a second, third...maybe forth piece. But I didn't want to look like a pig. HA!
That being said, I've totally been impatient in getting this recipe from the host. So I went on a search and baked a vanilla version today. (WHY? I'm going out of town tomorrow, makes no sense! But figured I could cut it and....road snacks!) YAY.....baked it, let it cool and for SOME reason I felt compelled to cut it before frosting it. (Yet I was still uber smart and opened the can of frosting before cutting it) Turns out the cake didn't cook well at ALL. And I even tooth pick tested it too. I'm so bummed. needless to say I was forced to eat a spoonful of frosting to calm the sweet tooth. Childish, perhaps. But it was probably better than becoming a blubbering mess curled up in the corner.
Life with three kids is pretty hectic. But I will say going from one to two was more difficult. Savannah is actually kissing the baby bouncer right now. I only claim her to be half mine!! :)
