Great story. A very similar thing happened to my grandmother when she was giving birth to my uncle. Her spirit floated out of her body and she says she saw all of the doctors and nurses, panicked and working on her body to bring her back. She also said it was the best and most freeing feeling she ever felt, she was even a little sad to be brought back to her body. I'm sure this story will bring comfort to a lot of people for different reasons. Thanks. |

When I was 15 I died and although I didn't see me leave my body I felt being lifted out of my body and then I was in a place where I felt so content that I did not want to return. I felt home, happy and content beyond anything I have ever felt. I knew I was with others but I could only feel them around me. I was asked if I wanted to stay and I said yes. They I was asked if there was any thing I wanted to do before I left the world. I said yes, I wanted to say goodbye to the girl I loved at the time. My wife now of 37 years. I was returned to my body in an instant. I did say goodbye to Ginger and we cried together. I thought I was going to die that night, I really wanted to die that night that is how wonderful that place was. But I did not die, nothing happened to me that night. I do know now that they really asked me if I had any reason to live and I gave them one. I'm glad I did because I love my wife more than life or death. I can always die but I don't know if I can chose to live again. I don't fear death and I have a greater love for all life than I ever did before. -Rad.. |

Date: 5/7/2009 4:58:00 PM From Authorid: 48809 Author, I have never had an NDE...but I have had many visits to the other side and have visited some of my loved ones there. I have posted several of my out of body experiences , but I can't tell you just where they are hon. You would just have to go through my posts Sorry. |
Date: 5/7/2009 5:23:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 64713 Thanks Posey, I'll go through and try to find your post on OBE. My mother also had an OBE while she was on a fast for several days. I'll post that story also- The title to that story is "leaving my body". The NDE happened while she was very young, She was always full of joy and people were drawn to her-complete strangers were always coming up to her and asking her for prayer. She prayed for thousands of people over her lifetime. I don't know if something happens to a person after an NDE but my mother had complete faith in God and the afterlife. She just didn't worry about the "little" stuff which to her was most things. |

Olivia, I'm really enjoying reading the stories you are posting. As with this story, it seems that many things happen for a reason. This story was good evidence of that idea. I have never had a NDE, but I was a young 15 year old who was thoroughly confused as my boyfriend (Radman/George) had gone through the experience. |

Date: 5/8/2009 9:04:00 PM From Authorid: 42945 I haven't experienced it myself but I know my hubby did one time and he said that his mother was calling him to come through a door, though he couldn't see her, he knew her voice, but something stopped him from going through that door to her..I'm glad that he didn't, we've been married for 50yrs... |

When I said that I was 'thoroughly confused' .. I did understand what George had gone through with his NDE. The way he described the experience was really incredible, and I could see why he really hoped to go to that place he had just barely felt the night before. The absolute peace and love he felt, must have been overwhelming. My confusion was only because I just couldn't understand the whole idea of loosing my soul mate at such an early age. I felt like .. 'How could God do that to us'. |
