I hate my car.... I hate my car... ok I really love my car...Haunted

I am now going on a week with out my car. Last Tuesday the car broke down. I looked under the hood and low and behold it was the serpentine belt that had broken. Ok easy fix as I have had it done before. That is what I thought.

My car had other ideas on what it wanted done and what was wrong. I got my cousin who is a mechanic to fix the belt and that should be done quick and simple. I went to start the car and go nothing. The engine sounded a little light on the compression so we did the standard checking. Nothing. So we figured that it would be one of three things. It was going to be the crankshaft sensor, cam sensor, or my alarm was killing it. Off to the shop it was towed.

I love my local mechanic. He is slow! He worked on my car for the first two days thinking it was the wiring for the alarm. Wrong. Next it must be one of the sensors. He checks and the cam sensor was not operating correctly. So problem solved. It would be a quick change that takes maybe 2 1/2 hours. Ok I can deal with that. Three days later he was still working on the 2 1/2 hour job. Like I said he is slow. So today my car was to be ready. Yeah! I was going to be back to my normal self and could do anything I wanted. WRONG!

The cam sensor even after changing the engine would not work. The system was still not firing correctly and there for not starting. Strike of the evil car! The mechanic then tore apart the timing belt housing to see what was going on. Well that evil no good dirty rotten car ate the serpentine belt. The problem is that there is no housing on the bottom of my timing belt where one of the gears lies. So the serpentine belt got wrapped around the timing belt gear. Searing it to the gear and it must now be ripped all apart to get to the problem. I am hopeful that the gear is not broken or damaged. This is a problem that is like one in a million to happen. No one, not even the mechanic, any member of my family has ever seen this happen. There are stories of this happening but it never happens. My mechanic has about 35 years of experience. So I hate my car for breaking and making it the most difficult thing that could be wrong. I do love my car because it really is my baby.

I need to get on the road in my own car! I can't stand this. I hate having to get rides from people. I will hopefully get my car back tomorrow. Who knows it may be evil, rotten, and horrible and decided that something else needs to be fixed! I hope not or it will be sitting there until the next payday!

If my car happens to pass by this way... tell him he is awesome and that I never spoke ill of him...
