This wireless concept was thought of by Michael Faraday in 1831. It is created by sending electric current through the air by Electro-Magnetic Induction which causes the electricity to jump from one point to another.
Nicolai Tesla produced a transmitter in Colorado Springs that did it but everyone around it's hair was standing on end and the grass glowed blue..
That was enough to scare everyone and shut him down.
Now though the technology is being used on a smaller scale and a pad has been created where all wireless devices can be placed on them and they will charge through wireless electricity.
