I have heard many things in the dead of night, things that can wake me up in the dead of night, and yet no one around me seems to be able to hear the same things I can. Sometimes I think I am going crazy, and that it is my imagination, but it feels so real, its hard to tell sometimes. This one happened to me very recently.

It was early Monday morning, actually the monday that just passe us. I was dead asleep, and then I was jolted out of bed by a frightening sound coming from the room above me, my mother's room. I heard her bolt out of bed, choking and sputtering as she ran down the hall. It really freaked me out, because I thought something REALLY bad was happening to her, all I could think was, Oh my goodness I hope I can get to her in time. I honestly thought her life was in danger because her movements sounded so frantic. I ran up the stairs, and all was dark and quiet, I was freaked out that maybe something had happened and I was too late, but it was still, and there were no movements or sounds, well , the sound of my mother breathing deep in sleep.

I had to shake it off, and try to get myself to sleep, thinking that maybe I was going crazy, maybe I am losing grip on reality, but it felt so real to me, and the danger seemed SO REAL! The next day I asked my mom if she had been up in the middle of the night, and if she was, if something had happened, she looked at me like I was crazy. I said to her.. "So you weren't up at 2:00 this morning?" she said she wasn't, she hadn't gotten up that night at all.

Now I am trying to figure out what in the world I heard! I was felt very awake when I heard it, and it seemed SO real. If it wasn't my mother then what? Was it a warning? I am just not sure.. I'm not even sure if it happened.. haha. I may be losing my mind.

I thought I would share this with you all.

Thanks for reading.

Date: 3/25/2009 7:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 30742    Well, the same thing happened to me and I called the police. To this day I am not sure if I heard someone breaking into the house or I was dreamed of hearing the noise of someone picking the lock on the door. See, I was working late at night not getting to sleep until around 8am, at 9am woke out of a dead sleep hearing someone rattle the door to break in.. called police, still half awake , they came nothing. Soooooooo I don't know, maybe I was just so tried and heard something, but no one was trying to break my door down. Sleep deprived can do greaky things to my head..lol.
Date: 3/25/2009 7:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 30742    Correction...dreaming of hearing. Sleep depriced can do freaky things to the head..lol
Date: 3/25/2009 7:55:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 13546    And then it COULD have been something, which is scary to think of. I guess its a good thing you did call the police, honestly I would have done the same thing as well, better to be safe then sorry. Yes, sleep deprivation can do strange things, and then , there are things that just don't always have an explination behind them...
Date: 3/25/2009 8:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 42945    Carissa, I heard what sounded like a car crash and people outside my house one night and it woke me out of a deep sleep, I jumped out of bed and turned the porch light on grabbing my dressing gown in case I had to help someone, and there wasn't a sign of anything happening outside on the road. It took me ages to get back to sleep as I know I heard what sounded like a car crash and someone crying. I think of that time often...the only logical explanation I can think it might have been was that I was under a lot of stress at the time with my little mother who was very sick at the time...stress can play tricks on us hun...
Date: 3/25/2009 8:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 30742    Yeah.. I still am not sure, after that there were alot of houses being broke into, so it could have been. I just knew I was so dang tried I just would have said..take what you want I am going back to sleep..lol
Date: 3/25/2009 8:17:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 13546    Now that is freaky Gramma, it must have been so weird going out there, and realizing nothing was there. That is how I felt.. I was so afraid for my mother. You are right though, stress can do some interesting things to people, and I know I have been a stress case this past little while, that could play a factor in it for sure.
Date: 3/25/2009 8:21:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 13546    LOL @ Ms Morality. Don't mess with your sleep eh? . Actually I had to call the cops once because I thought someone was trying to get into our house from the backyard, I saw the shadow from the window, and I heard someone trying to get in, even my dog was scared. But when the cops got to my house.. nothing... they thought I was crazy
Date: 3/25/2009 8:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 30742    Now that is freaky..your dog was even spooked..
