VERY PREGNANT AND VERY BORED :) -AHD *with pix*

So I'm 27 weeks, and I can't believe I'm almost 3 months away from giving birth. I haven't been getting much sleep due to my constant thinking and fear of labour.

I know some if not most of you have opted for the Epidural, but I've heard scary stories about women getting temporarily paralyzed, sometimes even for life.

Man why does everything come with a price lol

I'm already recieving a LOT of clothes so I know I won't be doing ANY baby clothes shopping anytime soon. I did however purchase some really cute baby stuff I can't wait to use!

 This CAKE diaper bag

A beeeeeautiful baby bloom rocker!

...I know I said no clothes, but I couldn't resist this two-piece outfit :)

....And now all I have to do is wait for my babe to get here  LOL

Date: 2/26/2009 3:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 26649    This book " INA MAYS GUIDE TO CHILDBRITH "Written BY INA MAY GASKIN.. You really need to read this if you're having fears about epidural. Believe it i had it set in my mind that i was going to do it natural and everyone around me told me oh you cant do it.. That the pain would be to serve well i read this book and well i proved everyone wrong.. i did it all natural and i handle the pain very well.. it gives good tip how to make the labor easier and so much more.. It really is a good book.. the beginning is a little weird. but as you read on it all really makes sense.
Date: 2/26/2009 3:27:00 PM  From Authorid: 30747    You are going to be a great mom and you'll have a gorgeous baby and don't worry about the labor. You will forget all about it once that baby is born. Hang in there hon.
Date: 2/26/2009 3:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 15394    You look so beautiful!!... I will share a little secret with you... I was AFRAID of the epidural, so I had both of my children natural like!! LOL Had Little Jungy at home with a midwife, they don't even give you tylenol!! LOL It was ok... I do think epidural is safe, and tons of women opt for it, but I was chicken... not to say that natural is a piece of cake LOL But it isn't THAT horrible once its over My best to you, you look awesome!!
Date: 2/26/2009 3:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    ohh yes diaper bag obsession! i remember that.. and stroller obsession! the big stroller at the moment (other then the bugaboo what all the celebs push) is the bob revolution! if your bored you should read funny pregnancy books, i LOVED "knocked up! the story of a modern mom to be" (it's nothing like th emovie knocked up) and the Jenny McCarthy book "belly laughs" was really good too.. don't let the horror stories scare you from getting an epideral! when you look at the ratio of how often those horror stories happen to how often it's preformed its a VERY VERY small chance
Date: 2/26/2009 4:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 31531    It's a piece of cake dear you will do just fine.Just think of all the joy you'll have with the new little one.>> HUGS >>
Date: 2/26/2009 4:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    The epidural is heaven on earth man. JMO of course Seriously, I bow before those who go without, but I'm a wimp

Date: 2/26/2009 5:24:00 PM  From Authorid: 10245    You are beautiful chubby!

I did it 3 times without a drop of medication. If I did it, you can do it! Babies are totally worth every bit of pain they cause.

Date: 2/26/2009 5:25:00 PM  From Authorid: 10245    (just remember to find a focal point and breathe)
Date: 2/26/2009 5:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 7830    Oh my goodness...that bag and baby chair are awesome!!! Im in love. And girl you look great! I know its easier said than done but try not to freak out too much, wont help at all. You need all the sleep you can get now!

I got an epidural with all three of my labors and i LOVED them. They made my labors very pleasant, but not all women's experiences are the same. Go with what youre comfortable with and try not to go into the L&D room with any set expectations of how it's going to go. Just go with the flow and you'll be happier!

Date: 2/26/2009 5:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Abszy! You little dumplin', you. Looking good, lady. Thanks for sharing the picts with us.
Date: 2/26/2009 6:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 15394    You know what... Shai is right! When it is your time, it is different for everyone, and pre-set ideas of what it should look like or feel like don't cut it. You may find as I did, that each child's labor is different and as Shai said, go with the flow and it will be WAY easier on everyone!!
Date: 2/26/2009 6:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 46486    You look great Absz!
Date: 2/26/2009 6:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 64279    That rocker looks awesome!!! And you look amazing girly!
Date: 2/26/2009 7:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 62579    Wait until the end weeks you will be begging to have your baby lol. I always swell really bad around that time so it makes it hard to walk or even wear shoes....and all the pressure from the baby ekkk! Sorry don't want to scare you every pregnancy is different. Cute pictures.
Date: 2/26/2009 7:24:00 PM  From Authorid: 62579    I need to also say I had an epidural with both my kids. With my son it didn't work at all. All I can say is I never want to go through that again. It really is best to get one in my opinion. I have had a lot of back pains ever since so it may be from the epidurals. My mom said that many women have back pain after having one.
Date: 2/26/2009 7:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 35720    You look so cute! Good luck, Absz. =)
Date: 2/26/2009 9:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 11176    you look beautiful

Date: 2/27/2009 7:17:00 AM  From Authorid: 16845    "Have you had any difficulty knowing when to push btw???????? And does it really elongate labor?"

I didn't know when to push with either of mine, but it's really not that big of a deal. The nurses/doctor will tell you when your having a contraction and when to push. If it made my labors longer I'm in trouble. I had it with both girls. My eldest was 5 1/2 hours start to finish, the second was 3 1/2 hours start to finish.

I will be honest...my back did really hurt after my second (I DO have back problems though....) because they went in to do a c-section immediately after I had mine. So the anesthesiologist Was there and unable to remove my epidural for a while. They had turned it off...so I wasn't numb any more. but she couldn't take it out until the C-section was done.

But really do what YOU feel is right. You might find labor not bad at all and not even NEED one. I was induced both times, and I'm told that makes it more painful. They also have other pain management options for those who do not want an epidural. So there are options!

Date: 2/27/2009 7:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 21764    you are so beautiful, that baby is gonna inherit some good looks!

Date: 2/27/2009 6:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 12876    sweetie, don't mind the labor the more you worry about it the harder it seems, when it;s over with you will forget just how hard it was good luck and GOD bless you and the baby
