I decided to drive my car off a bridge today,
to lose it all for just
a moment’s glance at something more.
To go over that ledge and die… to see my life
just once more in black and white
in slow motion.
I wanted a chance to see God,
even if for just a second,
before being cast away into darkness for eternity.
It’s absolutely beautiful though, the symphony of
glass and metal dancing together
into the water below.
Complexity becomes simple
and I’m able to understand
poetry, prose, philosophy, religion
and love.
I regret nothing as I slowly come to rest
waiting in the cold,
cold darkness to see God
Just once.
