Bruiex, T.Y. 4 u'r' kind comment & insightful question. The (7) represents the syllable count of each of the sentences in the 3rd stanza. Since this is a plastering of different things, somewhat like jazz music, I was stressing the tightness of that portion of the poem contrasting it against some of the looseness of the other stanzas. ~~& thank all of you for reading & commenting on my li'l offbeat-nik piece. ![]() |
