Find out what they like. As a mom if, my son or daughter brings home someone for the holidays I wouldn't expect a gift so, maybe just something small is more appropriate.
It's your first meeting of them as well so, maybe a bottle of wine or something to go with dinner if, they drink |

Target has some really nice, small candle sets (candles and holders, not expensive) that would be great for a kitchen or bathroom, a couple of movie passes would be nice. Maybe ask your boyfriend what kind of things his parents like to do or how they decorate their house. |

Well I wouldn't go overboard on getting gifts for people you don't even know. How long have you been with him? Have you ever met his sisters? If you haven't been together long and you have never met his sisters, I wouldn't worry about getting them anything; I doubt they are expecting anything from a perfect stranger. As for his parents, you could do something simple like a nice bottle of wine (if they are drinkers...but make sure to ask your bf this before getting them wine...if they don't drink it could def offend). I don't buy my boyfriend's mother anything and I've been with him for 6 years now...I doubt they are expecting anything, so something small would be quite the surprise for them! |

One year I received a nice dish with divisions in it that was held by a nice metal holder, and in the divisions of the dish were all different kinds of nuts. It was wrapped in clear cellophane with a nice bit red bow on it and each year now, when I go to rellies place for a chrissy drink I fill that nice dish with nuts and take it with us....and bring it back home of course lol...the dish is on the lines of a Japanese look, it's very nice and simple. |

I like Hey Hey Paula's suggestions. I think a nice snack of chedder chedder cheese and crackers and some sort of meat (ham or sausage) would be good. |

Maybe you should ask your boyfriend what kinds of things they like. As others said you need to make sure they aren't "non-drinkers" or vegetarians or something like that so you don't make a huge fauxpas with the gift... |

you know, i think the best thing in that situation, honestly, would be to bake them something. it would show warmth, and they'd also see that you put time into making something just for them. i know i'd think that was cool, if i had a son, and he was bringing his girlfriend to meet me, and she brought a cake or something. that would be very cool. |

I don't think I'm going to take any type of alcohol on my first visit. I think that would be a bit much. |
