So I applied for the program back in October, which is a process consisting of writing a two page essay on why you want to be a medic, a one page essay on your prior experience, a 150 question test, two practical tests, and oral boads, and they prefer you to have at least a year of field experience as an EMT. Which I do not, I work in the hospital. I'm not old enough to work for the local ambulance company. But I have the knowledge, I knew I did and I just had to prove it to them.
Then! They send out letters of either denial or acceptance.
I got my letter yesterday and it was a letter of acceptance! I got in and I am so freaking excited! Its an intense program, and I'm basically throwing my entire life away for year, but I love it and I'm excited for an awful year of crammed information, no sleep, endless clinicals(550 hours of just clinicals), long class time and no social life. woo hoo! *does the happy dance*
