Difference in Apartments?

  Author:  25481  Category:(Discussion) Created:(11/9/2008 5:07:00 PM)
This post has been Viewed (1601 times)

I am looking at getting my own apartment in Texas (for those of you that don't know - im moving back to Texas in 2009). Well I was searching and was wondering what is the difference between a studio apartment and a normal 1 or 2 bedroom apartment? I notice they are cheaper and was wondering what the difference was in layout and what not.

Thanks alot!

OH YEA....

Does anyone know anything about a general studies degree? And if you do - what kind of jobs can you get? What are vocations and how do you pursue one? Im just thinking with all the courses I already have there has to be something I can get without having to be in school really long.

If not - are there any jobs out there that I can probably pursue without a degree and still make a decent amount of money.

I just don't know who else to ask.

So....any help is appreciated.

But with a 1 bedroom you get a bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen. In a studio your bed will be in the living room.

here are some examples

Date: 11/9/2008 5:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 64365    It's the same as an efficiency. I used to live in one, and it was okay. Not much storage or closet space, but one person can do it just fine...
Date: 11/9/2008 5:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 21903    studio apartments usually consists of a main room, kitchenette, and bathroom; I do like that they are cheaper but I have never chosen to rent a studio b/c there just isn't as much room; but if you don't have that much furniture it may be the way to go if you're lookin to save money. I, myself, already had enough furniture for a diningroom, living room AND a bedroom, so I really couldn't squish it all into a studio. Good luck with the apartment hunt!!!

Date: 11/9/2008 6:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 62849    General studies is kind of like a non-major degree. You can do any job that requires a bachelor's degree as long as the job doesn't require a specialized bachelor's degree. A studio apartment is a one-room place. Like a dorm with a kitchen and a bathroom. You get one room (sometimes decently big, sometimes small) that serves as a living room and bedroom, plus your own bathroom and a kitchen. The layout differs depending on the apartment complex. Futons are great for these.
Date: 11/9/2008 8:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 64593    Bleh, I was apt hunting quite a bit a few mths ago and learned that I do not want a studio apt. It's just what Shai Beauty says. One big room aside from the bathroom. Goooooooood luck!!
Date: 11/9/2008 11:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 14754    there is NO bedroom, that is why they are cheaper
Date: 11/10/2008 6:43:00 AM  From Authorid: 28848    studios are smaller, ofter just one room. You might have a pull out sofa bed or a bed that comes out of the wall in the living area. No washer/dryer, no dish washer, very small kitchen/counter space.
Date: 11/12/2008 11:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 63194    Some studio apartments can be pretty cool. Don't rule them out, at least look at them to see if you like it. Some have a HUGE rum with half walls or angles that help to cut it up so it doesn't really seem like your bedroom is in your living room.
