Baby Nathan is right beside me in his swing just as happy as can be, smiling, cooing, and wide awake. Uh ohhhhh his eyes look a lil heavy :)
He will be 3 weeks old tomorrow and you all will not believe what happened.
After one heck of a day yesterday we ended up trekking BACK to Madison UW Childrens to see another Doctor. This after I called Shriners in Chicago and did the application and got approved on the spot.
Shriners in Chicago has it's surgical suites all shut down for remodeling and updating until Jan 2nd.
SO off we go. We were so apprehensive about it Shane and I that when the wonderful people there greeted us and asked us how we were, we gave a reply they didn't like, but after hearing what happened with Dr. Noonan, they understood.
Dr. Nemeth came in the room and took a look, took the WHOLE cast off Nathan's arm and looked good at it and oh soooooooo gentile.
X rays were done and That man, that Doctor sat with us for about an hour total listening, talking and showing us every bit of proof he had to show us Nathan's arm is almost completely healed. We didn't believe him at all until we saw the proof of it all.
It is so healed that all it's in now is half of the cast Dr. Mean evil cold, cruel donkey put on and wrapped loosely in the tape you get on your arm now after giving or having to have blood drawn. He even let us pick what color Nathan would wear! Dark blue of course.
Well, then I was told something else I thought I would never hear......If I wanna give Nathan a real bath, (finally) I CAN! I can TAKE ALL OF IT OFF HIS ARM and put it back on when I'm done!
Well, proof is in the puddin kids.
This morning the half cast slid down Nathan's arm. His hand was gone! Tee hee. Like it or not, time to take it off and re do it. OMG! SHOCK! His arm looks almost COMPLETELY normal! All the swelling was from the full cast! And Dr. Nemeth flat out told us what caused Nathan's pain and swelling, and all of it was the crappy cast Dr. Know it all did. Dr. Know it all has a complaint filed agaist him now and literally, the hospital patient care coordinator took care of us. She made the apt at 2 pm, she made sure Dr. Nemeth took his time and was uber nice, she really took charge and yeah Dr. Know it all is in poo.
SO Nathan will have more X rays done before T day to be SURE all is 100%. Nanners (my nickname for Nathan) is a rare find. He's already had over 30 X rays done of him now. These doctors, and the ones at Shriners (who he will see form now on for things like this) are gonna take hundreds or thousands more in his lifetime. Time to get used to being a mom to the 6th baby ever to have this done.
But THANK GOD medicine is so much better now. My Nanners is in good hands and as far as me and Daddy see it, Our boys will ONLY EVER get the best.
