The rules of baking chocolate chip cookies ;)

Hey USMers!

So I woke up this morning and kinda stared off into the scary darkness of my room...and I felt like baking.

Soooo it only took me like 2 hours to do, but I finally got out of my bed and went to make some chocolate chip cookies. Well as I was baking, here are some rules that I realized that you SHOULD follow when baking them to get the top notch cookies!

Rule #1

After having the mixture mixed together, you must sample it to make sure it tastes like it should.

Rule #2

After the first batch of cookies come out the oven, you must sample one to make sure they taste good. (Besides who wouldn't want a fresh warm cookie out of the oven?)

Rule #3

While the second batch cookies are baking, you should sample the batter again to make sure it tastes okay...and after every batch that comes out.

You never know, it might go bad by sitting by itself for too long!

Rule #4

As the second batch comes out, you have to sample a cookie from that too. In fact, you should do this after every batch that comes out of the oven.

You never know if you get a bad cookie!

Rule #5

You should always make a monster cookie with the last of the left over batter!

Why? Just because it's the cool thing to do of course! ;)

Rule #6

After the last batch goes in, you take your finger and get the rest of the batter off the bowl.

You don't want it to go to waste now, do you? Besides, less to clean off!

Rule #7

So now that you're done baking, and half the cookies are gone, and you feel like pig and maybe a bit sick, now you have to wash the dishes!..

or put them off like I do ;)

hehe happy baking! =P

Date: 10/23/2008 3:25:00 PM  From Authorid: 10245    lol. I think I followed them all when I made mine yesterday... except the monster cookie rule. I forgot all about that one.

I have one more to add: If you put 2 pans in the oven at once because you're trying to rush the baking process and they are a little too large for the space, and touch the edges of the oven, pack the burnt results in your kids lunch box (mine shared and was still told that his mom makes THE BEST cookies) ;o)
