I JUST FINISHED writing the longest post I'd written in a LONG TIME and as soon as I press POST, guess what happens. I GET SIGNED OUT!!!

AARRRGGH This ALWAYS happens when I take my time writing a post. It's SO FRUSTRATING. It's like if I'm not active for a few minutes I'm immediately CUT OFF.

Someone fix it please or I SWEAR THIS will end up being my last post EVER. :@ ARRRRRRGH!

It's always best to write your post in word or something first because, much like you the post times out on all of us so, I've learned to either write it in word or to scroll with my mouse sometime in between then so, it sorta tricks the thing into thinking I am still there since, I am still there lol.
Date: 10/19/2008 2:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 56780    I know the feeling, i've been there ! As Angi said, write your post in notepad or word then copy/paste it onto USM. Or you might want to simply copy your post before clicking submit, and if you get signed out all you have to do is sign back in and paste your post. Try regenerating those thoughts and lets seem'em on USM =)
Date: 10/19/2008 3:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    well. I stay constantly logged in, so non issue for me. But even still to be safe before I submit a story, I highlight/copy it just in case. Sorry you lost your post
Date: 10/19/2008 4:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 18928    I always copy my whole post, especially when I post the interviews in case that happens, which sometimes it does. It doesn't log me out, it times me out.
Date: 10/19/2008 4:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 35720    Omg, that sucks. I hate when that happens.
Date: 10/19/2008 5:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 20750    Aww that whomps! I've had that happen to me too! Hugs.
Date: 10/19/2008 5:39:00 PM  ( Admin )   I worked out a solution, if you are logged out but you hit submit then it will show you your input screen with your story still in it and give you a message that you must login.

So you don't lose your story.. Yaay.
Date: 10/19/2008 9:24:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Easy now, Abszy. Let's not be hasty. I just can't imagine USM without our Absz Honey Dip. I hate it when I lose a post like that. Trying to reconstruct from memory is terrible. Never quite turns out the same. Write on.....
Date: 10/19/2008 9:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 33286    ^^^ what Kronk said^^^ frustrating yes, but no reason to abandon the site, dear one. Radman made it better so come on back please.
Date: 10/20/2008 12:09:00 AM  From Authorid: 37150    Good ol' Radman found a solution ;-) Anyway, that's happened to me so many times, so what i do is write it on Microsoft Word first then just copy and paste.
