The Insane Clown Posse Does A Country Song?! >Da Gerb<

A bonus track on Insane Clown Posse's 2005 release "Forgotten Freshness Volume 4" was an actual answering machine message.  The man on the message claimed to be a Nashville record-producer who wanted to talk to ICP's Joe "Violent J" Bruce about a country project.  The man stated the song would bring ICP "good exposure to the country community" (Why they would want that is beyond me).  Well, I thought they included the message on their CD because of how much of a joke it was.  ICP doing a country song?  Yeah right.  Well, I guess Violent J took the guy up on his offer, because on ICP's 2007 release "Eye of the Storm" there was a country song!  "Wind Me Up"

I cannot share the song on here because of two explicit words, but (under your own accordance if you're below 13) I suggest you look it up on YouTube.  I know it's there because I posted it there myself.

Here's the (slightly edited) lyrics:

"Wind Me Up" by Insane Clown Posse's Joe "Violent J" Bruce

Wind me up

So I can keep up with you

It's so electric these days

I clash with everything new

I try to fire my guns

I try to bang on my drums

There was a time when I ran

The fastest anyone seen

There was a time in my hands

I had the world it would seem

There was a time I could stand

On top with no in between

There was a time

When I didn't need somebody to

Wind me up

I'm tryin' to race with the best

This once was easily done

It came easy to me

Now there's no to for risk

They do stuff faster these days

I know, I'm tryin' to keep up

There was a time when I ran

The fastest of anyone seen

There was a time in my hands

I had the world it would seem

There was a time I could stand

On top with no in between

There was a time

When I didn't need somebody to

Wind me up

I can't let ship pass me by

I'm winded, still I keep on

I'll never ever never at least try

This world is spinnin' so fast

I'm still on it

Lets see how long I'll last, how long I'll last

There was a time when I ran

The fastest that anyone seen

There was a time in my hands

I had the world it would seem

There was a time I could stand

On top with no in between

There was a time

There was a time I didn't need a wind up

There was a time

There was a time I didn't need a wind up

There was a time

There was a time I didn't need a

There was a time...

Date: 10/18/2008 4:59:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 50193    "Eye of the Storm" is just a EP (8 tracks, I think) mostly of songs left over from "The Tempest" and "FTFO". It's nothing special, but it's pretty cool.

Date: 10/18/2008 6:33:00 PM  From Authorid: 35720    I used to absolutely HATE ICP, but my boyfriend is real into them and after having it blasted into my head everyday, it kind of grew on me. I really like Twistid, too.

Date: 10/18/2008 6:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 63026    Personally it doesnt sound country, now if they pull out the fiddles, and steel guitars, then yea they can be country..But they do got the underground and they do music their own way, like some country artists do. Personally I applaud them for being so popular without having a major radio hit.
