I'm confused, you paid but not online? If you didn't pay, even after them giving you the runaround, then yeah they're going to cancel your car insurance. If you did pay, use your canceled check or bank statement as proof of payment then demand the insurance cards be issued immediately (some places will email them to you to print out) and backdated to the approximate date they would've received your payment. Be sure also to use known names like Progressive or Allstate (my preferred insurer, been with Allstate for years and my parents before me). I got in over my head once by switching from Allstate to a cheaper unknown out of state agency and let's just say it was a very unpleasant experience, from missing payments to not receiving my cards. Just a hassle, I switched back to Allstate and will never switch again. Just be careful who you do business with these days...  |

We have Unitrin. He called the broker since there was a problem with trying to pay it. We usually try to pay online but this would be the 1st time with the phone. I recieved nothing even stating the the insurance was going to be called except for the postcard from the broker (who we talked to) saying that it was cancelled. What I forgot to mention is that he left all of his information with her (card number, exp., policy, ect.). So it should have been taken care of since she was suppose to "fix" it. Well she fixed it good:P  |
