UGH! rant......~~Distraught~~

Well today I got a call at work from another employee (her name will be Mandy) asking if I could take their shift for tomarrow morning (because of the situation that they were in I would feel bad for saying no). I placed them on hold and kind of moaned and griped about it. I then told them that we'll see and that I will call them back. I then called to a few other people to see if they could split the shift with me, they all said no. So I then called to see if someone else could work the night and my husband will work the morning since he worked the night, but there was no answer. So i ended up waiting on the call from the one employee and didn't call back Mandy. well this was all around noon.

At 5pm I had asked my husband to call and see if he and Mandy could switch shifts. He called and asked her if she needed the whole day off or if they could switch. Which in turn was misinterrpreted and she thought that her shift was covered(easy to do with how he worded it). So I had found out from someone else that she thought that I was taking her shift and so I texted her saying that I couldn't and of course forgetting that I had an automatic signaure on. Well I had his call her back to clear everything up which upsetted her. My automatic signature "Be a mans manly man man" was then taken the wrong way (she tought that I was writting that to her).

She ended up writting a message to me to stop writting "be a mans.." since she's in a very difficult time right now. I finally realized what she was talking about and wrote back that it was my signature. But she didn't care and I had offended her. So now I feel like crap about this whole situation and wondering if I will have to hear about it when I go to work on Thursday from my General manager, even though Im an idiot and forgot about the signature.

Be aware of your signatures on text messages.....

Date: 10/15/2008 10:13:00 AM  From Authorid: 44994    That can't be a fun situation, but if she can't understand that it was a signature and not intended for her then she is clearly and unreasonable person. I don't think you should feel too terrible.
