Me with Doug Bradley ("Pinhead" from Hellraiser)
Me with special effects legend Tom Savini
Me with Tony Todd (Candyman)
Me with Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead)
Me with Pro Wrestling legend "Rowdy" Roddy Piper
Notes:
*Tony Todd is very funny and very nice. I bought the special edition of "Candyman" from him for $30. He didn't charge me for the picture and he signed the DVD booklet without charging me either.
*Ken Foree, however, was easily both the funniest and nicest person at Rock & Shock. He didn't charge me for the picture. After the picture I bought the shirt (says "World's Greatest Zombie Killer" on the front and "When there's no more room in Hell the dead shall walk the Earth" on the back), he signed it for free. Rather than asking everyone at his table to form a line, he had us all gather round the table. He then shared stories about his movies. He told us the fight scene in Rob Zombie's Halloween looks so real because Tyler Mane was so nice and so gentle that he tried to "break" him by repeatedly insulting Mane's mother, grandmother, and sister until Mane legit threw him against the stall. He also made fun of my friend's girlfriend for not knowing who he is.
*I asked Roddy Piper about his smashing a glass bottle over his head back in the day. He simply replied "I don't do that anymore". He charged me $10 for the picture.
*Doug Bradley is very soft-spoken and to-himself. His book is amazing, too. I bought the book for $20. He signed it for free, and the picture was free.
*Tom Savini didn't charge me for the picture.
*I bought a Jason Vorhees shirt for my girlfriend from a random booth. Derek Mears signed it without charging. Derek Mears also talked to my friends and I about his experiences in the movie industry, too. He told us the make-up for "The Hills Have Eyes 2" only took 3 1/2 hours while the make-up for "Wild Wild West" took about 9. He talked about annoying the make-up artists by falling asleep and then twitching in his sleep. He also talked to us about comic books and action figures.
*Speaking of comic books, both Tony Todd and Roddy Piper commented on my Batman shirt saying Batman is their favorite superhero. Tony Todd mentioned growing up on "Silver Age" Batman comics. He also talked to my friend, who was wearing a Red Sox hat, about the ALCS.
