Would you like to know how many calories you're eating in your fast food?

Hey USMers!

So yesterday I heard on the radio about California passing a law about fast food saying how many calories/fat are in their food (at least I think that's what happened, I was paying half attention)  and then today at Taco Bell they had a little brochure thing saying how many calories and fat are in their food. I honestly do not want to know! LoL I know already it's probably all fatty and high caloried, but I prefer assuming there's a lot then actually seeing it LoL

For example, cheese streussel muffins. I had them all the time at school and they were AMAZING. I got them all the time (at least when they had them, otherwise I had blueberry) but since I graduated, I couldn't get them anymore, so my mom was nice enough and bought me a couple. Well I've always known they were probably high caloried and I was thinking like 300 or so.....I looked on the package and it was like 600! That totally made me stop eating them LoL so I think knowing how much calories are in my favorite crunchwrap supreme from Taco Bell or the awesome tendercrisp sandwich from Burger King would totally ruin it for me!

So what do you think, do you want to know?

Date: 10/2/2008 1:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 64637    I know that one little double cheeseburger from McDonalds has 440 calories. And just to think, I could eat like 3 of them!!OMG! That's like 3/4 of my caloric intake. That's crazy~!!~~~MidnightSun
Date: 10/2/2008 1:43:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 43015    oh wow...that's a lot in one little cheeseburger!
Date: 10/2/2008 2:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 37150    I heard about this, too. I work at Chili's here in California and I heard on the news we have to put our calories on the menus.
Which is funny cuz we JUST got new menus. I gotta ask at work what they're gonna do now! LOL!

Date: 10/2/2008 2:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 37150    P.S. If you love Chili's, you don't want to know how much the calories are. I had a coworker who carried around
the calorie count so she could eat right at work (as if that's possible, haha) anyway, the molten chocolate cake itself has like
1600 calories. No joke.

Date: 10/2/2008 2:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 7830    I already do know! I know the calorie content of everything i eat...im obsessed with it lol. I only eat low cal low fat foods and its helped me lose almost 40lbs since having my daughter 7 months ago.
Date: 10/2/2008 2:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 29532    Yup, I woul dlove to know. I think pizza joints should do this too.
Date: 10/2/2008 2:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 64566    Blue Butterfly , I don't mean to sound rude. That is a bunch of bull about the calories and how many blueberries have. I have heard for several years now that blueberry muffins and blueberries alone is good for you. I care less how many calories a food has if it's good for you. Now they have never said to me that a greasy hamburger is good for you. I still would care less how many calories anything has as skinny as I am. On the blueberry part it's suppose to be good for you. Forget the calories on that one and enjoy it.
Date: 10/2/2008 3:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 10657    I thought McDonald's and BK and Jack in the box already did that? I could be wrong though lol.
Date: 10/2/2008 3:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 35720    I don't eat fast food.. so I could care less haha.
Date: 10/2/2008 8:27:00 PM  From Authorid: 42945    Our McDonalds over here show them....I'm glad we rarely eat fast foods, for one thing we have to travel to far to buy them lol!!!
Date: 10/2/2008 9:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    in canada this info has always been available in store.. they have a little fold out with it listed on in the stores (or atleast there was in BK and McD's last time i was in.. months ago) McD's used to have all this info on the back of the paper that lined the trays! though it's ALL online
Date: 10/3/2008 4:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 21764    oh man i haven't eaten fast food in a month and a half now.. and now you've made me crave it at the moment! LOL
