I thought you were trying? you could be! some tests will give you an accurate response within 2 or 3 days of being late, but most require at least a week. How much cheesecake did you eat? Was it good the first time around? :P |

and around 3 weeks is when most symptoms begin (the cycle is counted from the first day of your last period) |

Mercury...LOL I lost hope and changed my whole mindset about getting pregnant! I think I can wait a few good years before I can give up being selfish.. lol. The thing is I'm NOT late. Should I wait till I am? I have no patience. I can't wait that long. |

you can go ahead and take one, but a negative reading doesn't mean you're in the clear ;o) if you really, really, really have to know, you can have a blood test done at a doctor's office, but I'm not sure how early those give accurate readings, just that it's earlier than a urine test. Or you can just wait it out and maybe not have to take a test at all ;o) |

Hello friend~~~It is possible that you could be pregnant. I usually didn't find out that I was pregnant until like 10 weeks pregnant. I did have symptoms well before this. But it is possible to find out sonner than I did with a blood test. Usually, you ovulate right before your period, like a week before, I believe. I get cramps before my period a week in advance, and my breasts get tender too, so literally every month I am worried until I get my period. You can still be pregnant even if you have your period. You might just be early in the pregnancy. Pregnancy and the Womans body is just weird. I would say that if your period is late, you should take a test. Many other factors have the same symptoms of pregnancy like stress. Hopefully this is helpful for you, God Bless~~~MidnightSun |

I was 7 wks when I found out I was pregnant(January)...I found out the day I was supposed to start my period (and my stomach was cramping which led me believe there was no way I was pregnant until the blood test results came back as very pregnant)...I got sick one day and thought I had the flu bug that was going around the week before xmas-I was only sick that one day...come to find out after talkng with my doctor that that day I got sick was right around the time that the embryo actually planted itself in my uterus...so, you could be pregnant or you just ate too much cheesecake..btw, some women experience cramping when they ovulate which could be why you are feeling the cramps. |

hCG (or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is the hormone tested for in pregnancy tests (both blood and urine, quantitative and qualitative). It is produced by the placenta, which is a transient organ (found only some of the time, which is when you're pregnant). It takes a little time for the placenta to form (not too long, but it does take a little time) so you have to wait for that. Ovulation kits test for the luteal surge, which is the phase when Luteinizing hormone (well, and Follicle Stimulating Hormone) keeps getting produced until ovulation occurs. So when the test is positive, those hormones are high. Ovulation kit = not a good predictor of pregnancy.. but if it says you are ovulating, your symptoms could be from ovulation itself. It might be a little early to test- they usually say 2 weeks past ovulation is a better time to accurately test at home. Blood tests will show earlier than urine but only after that placenta has started making hCG. (LOL.. sorry to sound like a science book.. but I seriously just took a test on this stuff, not a week ago!). |

I know that sometimes (when I was younger) I would get almost pms type symptoms when ovulating, so that is most likely what it is. I don't think most people usually get sick at only several weeks pregnant, but there are exceptions to every rule! |

Was your period normal last time? Honestly I'm going to take a stab and say that it's the cheesecake making you sick...and that your currently ovulating....not PG... |
