The wind in my face a constant The road stretching out before me Beckoning me to places I’ve only dreamed of As tendrils of hair escape to taunt me on my journey As it tickles my face Traveling near, and far Liberated, Unencumbered, At least for a while Embraced by the destiny created Between myself, the bike, and the highway A vision of light and sound Awaits me, at each turn, Bestowed upon eyes that have hungered For something new A beginning Or was it an ending Reaching out to me Guiding me along the path less traveled A passageway to sovereignty Found only on the open road The quest that calls my name As it has called others before me And will call others after me Those that feel the need To embark upon a voyage Of infinite freedom!
