So, I was recently offered a server position at work. I had been on the host stand for 6 months and they felt that I deserved the promotion which I'm very happy about. Our servers make upwards of $1000 a week. Most days you walk out with, at the very least, $100. I've begun training and will hopefully be on the floor by myself next week.
I have also been talking to advisors about what exactly I want to do with my life.. I either want to get into Forensic Science or Veterinary Medicine. The college advisor told me to get my associates in Biology and from there, I can transfer to a college for either one of those majors since they are both science-related fields. By that time, I will have had more time to think about it. Until then, I am taking two Vet Tech courses this fall.. since owning my first pet, I've become much more passionate about animals.. I'm interested in working at least part time as a Vet Tech while in college.. and even if I decide to move forward with Forensic Science, my experience in a lab setting will look good on a resume.
One other big update- I've decided to finally get rid of the black hair.. you can probably tell in the latter two pictures that I've been growing my roots out and they're down past my ears already. My friend is a hairdresser in a really reputable salon and I'm having her do the procedure for me. I'm gonna go a light brown with some caramel highlights. Should be nice.. my hair's been black for so long.. I'm ready for a change.. and frankly, I'm tired of not being able to do anything with my hair because it looks silly with the long roots. I'm excited to finally give a crap about my hair again. =p
So yeah, there's an update on me.. and New Jersey's working out fine, too.
