Date: 7/11/2008 2:45:00 PM From Authorid: 10245 I've had long term obsessions with particular albums that leave me never wanting to hear what I've just spent months listening to. These include: Fleetwood Mac's Rumors, Elton JOhn's Good-bye Yellow Brick Road (most of my high school sophomore year) and Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska (senior year). The effects are finally beginning to wear off. I don't freak out when I hear any of the songs on the radio. Any more. ;o) I could listen to nothing but James Taylor's Greatest Hits and The Very Best of Elvis Costello for the rest of my life and not go crazy from it. (but just watch me implode at the very first strains of gnarls barkley ... lol) I can't pick! What I call a favorite greatly depends on the mood du jour... but- I think I can put Sinead O'Connor's The Lion & the Cobra in there, along with Yaz Upstairs at Eric's, Van Morrison's Moondance and Prince's Purple Rain. |
